A KA24DE with cold air, headers, and a catback can beat what car in its class? Lets see....an integra ls, gs, gsr, civic ex, si, etc. The reason I ask is because there are some people i wanna shut up by racing them. And if you all can tell me what airflow parts perform best, that would be great too. Your the all motor guys right? Input is greatly appricated. :)

not to flame, but do u see that large button at the top of ur screen, try using it (search), and also, on a more serious note, the mods u describe vary in hp ratings, however, beating a STOCK: ls, or gs is no great accomplishment (im guessign u mean integras for both), civic ex..127hp, cmon, no big deal, now an si (99-00) will give u a run for ur money (with a good driver) and a gsr would more htan likely take u (with a great driver), so all in all it depends on how well u know how to drive, how well they konw how to drive, you're only competition with those mods would be hte gsr, also, please do this AT THE TRACK, shutting people up by racing them is ok, but try to become friends with them, rather than 'shutting them up', they mite have useful info u dont already nkow, and besides, it couldnt hurt to konw another car guy u can turn to :)

wow, an informative post in here!Haven't had one of those in a while now ;)

Anywho...Your 240 si going to outrun all the listed cars but the GSR. I have a friend with a GSR with intake and a clutch running 14.7's so there's no way you're gonna yank that down without more mods :)

thanks for the info. to clarify 'shutting up' these are people I know. I guess you could call them friends, but not really close. All they do is talk about how their 89 prelude si with intake or their 93 civic hatch with clutch can 'mop' me. I just can't understand what gives them such confidence. I look at my power/torque to weight ratio and then at theirs and it does not even come close. by the way i have a 91sx se but that shouldn't change anything.....or does it?

believe it or not it does in a way, if ur car were older, it would be a SOHC, not a DOHC like the one u have, and u have the SE, which means u also have the lsd, and as to what gives them confidence, its because they drive honda/acura, they think they are the best in the world (not all ,but most), and in reality, they arent bad cars, but nothing great ya know, and also, one major advantage, ESPECIALLY in autocross is the fact that u have RWD, and yea i know how u classify them as friends, i know the kind, trust me, o, and thnks for the compliment ARIES, much appreciated

A.J Foyt would have been able to outdrive Petter Solberg, but with what car?? Can Michael Schumacher beat Gilles Panizzi at the Monaco Grand Prix, and can Gilles(pronounced "Jill") beat Schumacher at the Rally De Monte Carlo?? Phil Hill IMO could outdrive Dan Gurney at Le Mans, but these were different drivers(at different times), in different cars, for different applications.

P.S. this post may make no sense, so don't be upset.

well a CA18DE with a header, muffler, intake, lightened flywheel, SAFC and 370cc injectors can beat a GTS-T Skyline! At least the two limp ones I raced!:evilhaha

Techo has GSR's for lunch and type R's for dinner! :D But I have only raced It-R's that were not that modded just a kat back. An It R with i/h/e would over rev me and just might win. I am building my friends 98 IT R with some real nice stuff and when I’m done he will have no problem hitting a very low 14. My last best ET is 14.81 with out vlsd I need to become a better driver. with the new diff I have that has the 4.86 gear I’m hopping to go low 14's something like a 14.20

Did al SE cars come with LSD? I haven't checked out my 95 real close yet but it doesn't seem to be very limiting on the slip.

I agree, Im pretty sure my 93 is SE because it has every option other than auto transmission including HUD and digital speedo. But I dont think Ive got limited slip.

Only S13 with LSD in the USA are the SE Hatchback Super Hicas Model (91-93)

S14 with LSD are usually the SE models with ABS, but some dont have LSD even though they have ABS.

My friend has a 90 that is a SOHC so i knew they existed. but i heard the 95's had 24 valves instead of 16 but I don't see how thats possible. The guy that ownes it swears up and down that it is so I stopped the conversation. Any ideas?
