Yes i did.

Yesterday my school went into lockdown if u didnt hear (this is national news). All the details can be seen here:

http://www.ohio.com/news/10593602.html

after u read the article you will understand what i am about to say.

So after school at around 2:55 pm the cops and SWAT had the whole school surrounded. It was stated by the police that these criminals were two black males in a buick lucerne they stole. Now i know it is no coincedence..after i left school about two miles down the road, two black guys in a buick lucerne were following me. so i sped up, and they sped up...

now this road is a country road, paved and all, but not alot of traffic. Through my rear view mirror i could see them pointing, making gestures, and giving me the finger...they almost tried to spin me out, but thank god for the Versas small rear...lol.

Anyways, i got up to about 90 miles an hour, and so did they, but after about 10 seconds, the buicks engine started smoking...and that was that. One of the scariest (and coolest) moments of my life.

And its all true, i can assure u that.

RK

Wow... if this was true, why the hell would you be proud of it? That is SEROUSLY not smart. If someone is coming up on your tail like that on a public street, pull over and let them pass.

You now just admitted to street racing and reckless driving, both offenses that will have your license revoked.

I know you're just a kid and all, but take it from a professional driver:

KNOCK IT OFF. It's not funny, it's not cool.

Musta been something wrong with the Lucerne. I know for a fact that a Buick can sustain 90 MPH for a loooong time.

Aside from the questionable details of this story I'm not so sure you'll get many folks to believe this, considering your propensity for telling tall tales. You're kind of the "boy who cried wolf", right now.

wow wasnt expecting to get this type of response. The event lasted a total of prolly 20 sec. I did report the citing to authorities, specifically my friends dad, who is on the local force. Everything has been handled, and those were not the same guys (which def took me by suprise). Yes, i feel bad for my "reckless" driving, but i was looking out for my safety. I did pull over when the other car slowed down..and called my mommy lol. Its under control.

And thanks for wanting to take me off the road guys. Apparently something was misunderstood here.

If you were looking for "wow"s and "OMG"s, you went about it the very wrong way. Re-read your original post. You're very proud of yourself and this moment you had. And you handled it very poorly IMO, and in the opinion of others as well.

It doesn't matter if the guys were the criminals or not. If they were, they were NOT looking to take your car. Criminals on the run would pick an unoccupied vehicle to steal, so they could make a getaway after ditching their hot car. If they tried to carjack you, you would have called the cops, and they'd need a new car again immediately.

But what you describe as far as the behavior of the other driver is an everyday occurrence in my job. I never do speed bursts up to 90 to get someone off my tail. I stick to the rules of the road and the speed limit, and if a driver has a problem with it, they can pass me when it is legal to do so. Yes, I get people honking, gesturing, and flipping me off all the time. Too bad, so sad, get in line and get over it.

I woke up this morning kinda pumped because I knew you were coming off your ban, and that here at the board we were going to get ready to educate you properly on the modification of your car, so you have the tools you need to do what you like to your car.

And I get supremely disappointed because THIS is the first thing I see spew forth from your fingers.

Yeah, I'm going to pee in this pond too...

Let me point out a few key things...

1) I could understand deserted stretch of road, not many places to turn off, crazy people behind you, not sure what they're going to do = wanting to out-run them...

2) You just stated that it wasn't the same guys from the lockdown... You probably knew this fact before posting this thread... therefore, you have once again thrown out a large pink elephant and then want no one to comment on it

3) You stated that they followed you for awhile, then followed you at 90 for 10 seconds... but then the whole thing lasted 20 seconds... I think you made it larger than life and then smaller than life.

4) Everybody likes to share personal experiences (I'm sure that half of the things I've shared less than 1/3 of this forum cared to read) so the sharing of personal stuff is not bad, discouraged, or frowned-upon... However, the V crowd is probably more diversified than most of the other forums on here and there are less that probably think that speeding etc. is 'cool' and to be discussed in such a manner. I'll admit, I break the speed limit quite a bit, I like to be first off the line at stoplights, and I like to test my Camel on every corner I come across. I also pay for my own car, insurance, and understand that there's a very real chance of me loosing my job should I be excessively stupid. I also have the added advantage of having a blind eye turned to my speeding (not that I necessarily condone this, but I've also only held a badge for 6 months and have no moving violations.) You've got to understand that bragging/boasting about doing things of this nature is probably going to be shot down here - especially in light of the fact that you've already tried to tell a whopper and that is still fresh in everyone's mind... you're just going to have to accept that on apology isn't going to change the fact that many on here aren't going to trust what you say when it sounds outrageous.

5) number 4 was really huge... mostly because I don't feel I have a lot of room to talk, but I can see where other's do...

6) This forum appreciates enthusiasm for the V... You have enthusiasm and you have dreams... that is awesome. We all would love to help you with your car as much as we can - that's what a forum is for...

7) No need to get so discouraged... just try to keep it real and on the level. ;oD you'll find many on here will be more supportive if you can just keep it honest and all in good faith and fun.

8) i just noticed that EV managed a post in between when I loaded the thread and hit reply...

okay, I still think my post may be helpful/relevant...

/peeing... see, that wasn't really so bad...

You're neither. You're just young and have two very powerful tools at your disposal and don't quite know what to do with either of them yet. Stick around, calm down and be an information/philosophy sponge. You'll figure it out.

In case you were wondering what the two tools are, they are teh internetz and a car.

when i was 16 i was driving a 1986 cutlass supreme with the awesome GM 3.8 liter v6 (dual-barrel carb). It had mag wheels, it was RWD, it LOOKED bad-***, but it was in no way fast. I think the speedo (horizontal-sweep type) showed up to 80 and I may have done 90 once.

I got my first ticket in that car because a cop decided to follow me home as i left a friend's house. the problem was, i didnt KNOW he was a cop, i thought it was just some random guy tailgating me at 12am to screw with me. i HAD been doing the speed limit, but i sped up because i was 16 and i freaked out. i got a ticket for 53 in a 40.

so i understand your instincts telling you to accelerate, and im glad you learned your lesson here instead of in a ditch or in court.

seriously, your enthusiasm greatly outweighs your common sense. coming from someone who used to do burnouts in the high school parking lot, powerslides around the corners, put an exhaust tip on his mom's lancer () and had his fair share of scares at your age, STOP and take an extra minute to think things out.

DONT buy unnecessary "mods" for your car. you stated youre broke constantly, so why even spend the money on stickers, underglows and turbonators when you could be putting it into maintenance or saving for REAL upgrades?

DONT fall into the habit of speeding, driving recklessly and organizing lame heads-up street races at your school. i remember that kid from my high school, and everybody else does too. he was a douche. it doesn't impress anyone, and rags out your car hurting your performance and resale value.

DONT make up stories on Nico. Im sure you are aware of this, but the kind of stuff you tell your buddies in between classes over the latest copy of Super Street simply does not fly here, and there are always people waiting to call you on it. Read up, use the search button, ask questions and be a knowledge-sponge for a few months and then share it with the next kid.

good luck.

Listen to d!ck. the man has wisdom.

We're here to help you learn about your car, and eventually you can pass the knowledge on to someone else.

While it may be true that in high school you need to spin tall tales to impress your friends or would-be friends, you don't need to do that here. In fact, you've now been called out on it twice... so that should tell you something right there.

Sit back, ask for knowledge, read the threads and gain more knowledge... that's where you should be starting.
