okay, i am trying to swap output shafts on my two VLSDs that i have and i am having a hard time getting them out of the j30 diif i have. i have banged the heck out of it with a BFH and only one side will come loose, then act like it is caught on something inside the differental. the other side won't budge at all. any suggestions?

on the open diff (i assume the VLSD is the same) it just pops out. i used a big pry bar, basically a huge screwdriver that is bent over on the end, and it popped right out.

a big slidehammer will work. There is a little C-clip in there giving you the finger.
