it's your alignment. Once you have that done your return to center will be 100% improved. Just went through it this week and replaced rack and tie rods.

Meant to say it pulls to right over bumps.

Just like paranoidjack said, its your alignment. That "pull" you get over bumps is called bumpsteer and is from your alignment being out of whack.

If you didn't put the tie-rod back on with exactly the same amount of turns, that would definitely cause some issues. Make sure you do both outer tie-rods, as it would be beneficial since you are spending money on an alignment.

I would disagree some what as maybe it wasn't in the right spot in the first place.

Just get a alignment like everyone's saying-

When I changed mine, I replaced inner and outer - both sides. Also replaced cracked rubber tie rods with JWT solid adjustables. Front end was tighter than a virgin's.

+1 for an alignment. Regardless of how you try to sight align it, it will drive crazy until properly aligned on a good front end machine.

While I partially agree if you have only sight aligned a car a few times. There are a lot of us, myself being one of them, that sight aline cars. I get my car aligned to be positive afterward, but 9/10 I get everything within spec and usually pretty even on the camber specs. This is partially because I was a broke 16 year old trying to 0 budget build everything I owned, lol!

Toe being out of alignment does not cause pull! The steering wheel maybe off center though.
