hi guys......i though i had an alignment issue but even after multiple alignments the car just won't go straight.the steering wheel will always shift about 10-15 degrees to the right. and when i come to a total stop the wheel almost shifts 40 degrees to the right 80+% of the time.i had slight vibrations on the wheel but the balancing fixed about 50% of that.still have some so not sure what else to fix or replace.

here's some background on what has been fixed so far:

front right outer tie rod. (3 years ago)both front inner tie rods. (2 years ago)front right control arm. (2 years ago)both front sway bar links. (1.5 months ago)both front tension rod bushings. (1 month ago)both back suspension links. (1.5 months ago)4 wheel alignment. (1 month ago)tires rotated and re-balanced. (3 weeks ago)

i've had the car 3 years not and have only put on 29k kilometers on it.total mileage is almost 197k kilometers.

i do have a +1.52 degree reading on the front right cambar and the rest are 0.6 or less.but i doubt the 1.52 on the cambar is causing this but i could be wrong.any ideas guys?it really pisses me off when my wife's cavalier can drive straight without having to hold the wheel and i have to constantly hold on to mine even on a straight and flat highway.

i really hope its something simple and cheap like the power steering belts but i really doubt it.

All the tire pressures equal ?Also could it possibly be your passenger side front brake caliper not releasing? (Sticking)

tire pressure is all 34psi.and i check that once every 2 weeks.how would i know if the caliper is not releasing?would i hear some kind of noise?

i have had this problem for 2+ years now and still trying to figure it out.

Not sure you would hear anything but if the caliper sliders aren't lubed it would cause the pads to not release.I had a similar problem with my Wifes Caravan.Kept going through pads and warping the rotor. They sell small packets of the grease at the parts stores.

my pads are good the last time i checked. and that was when the tires were rotated. but i can definitely check again.but would that also cause the slight vibrations i have as well?which the balancing didn't cure completely?

braking a little....more like pulsating and i know that is my rotors cause its due to be replaced.i feel the vibrations while driving especially on highway. not alot but enough to see that yours hands are not still when holding the wheel.it was worse before balancing.i might jack the front right up later to see if the wheels feel stiff when spinning it with my hands.

I had this same problem on my Hardbody and it was the brakes not releasing all the way on the right side causing the truck to pull to that side. It would build up heat in the rotor and cause it to warp, causing a vibration. I cleaned and lubed the slide things on the caliper, replaced the rotor and I was good as new. Good luck with your problem, I hope you get it figured out.

any high temp lub should work. But if your at a parts store they should have the little packets of caliper grease.

ditto^If this is your problem you could see a small increase in gas mileage also.Does if seem that your not getting the mileage you should? I get right at 20 mpg.
