Out of Gas!

So i was low on gas lastnight but i thought it was enough to get me to work this morning and since i put Shell there is a station right by here maybe about 1/2 mile. Work is only about 7 miles from my house anyways it didn't work out that way this morning, i was driving down the Garden state parkway when BAM my car shut off and to make it even worse i was in the fast lane so it was a headache just getting to the emergencey lane. After 1hr waiting GSP & Turnpike authorities came. This is the first time i run out of gas! Just wanted to share this with everyone

This has happened to me ONCE. When I had my Grand Cherokee I hated putting gas in it, it pained me to go to the pump. Coming home from being at a bar downtown around 2:30 am about a mile from my house the jeep shut off when coasting down the hill. Was definitely an adventure but a pain in the ***.

Trust me, you wont let it happen again!

Time before that i was in HS... driving an Ice Cream Truck! (good humor)... and it ran out of gas (gauge was broken) mid route right in the middle of a housing development!

Oh believe me it won't ever happen again!!!!!! I really thought someone was going to hit me becuz everyone is traveling like 70 to 80 mph in morning rush hr and here i come with my car stalled. It was a pain in the *** just trying to get someone to come to me. I went through like 4 or 5 ppl giving me different numbers before i got a hold of the GSP & TURNPIKE Authorities. Like from Friday? Big WORM? we used to joke about it as one of the kids in our crew (8 trucks 12 drivers at the time) was a heavy black dude.. Mikey's Ice Cream for those guys in MONMOUTH COUNTY! The truck bodies are from the 70s with no improvements, no power steering (a ***** to turn the thing around)... no radio or working instruments... and 2 engines... (1 for the freezer).. it was always 15+ degrees hotter in the truck... awesome job though...

This just happened to me last week Thursday. I was on the Palisades Parkway. On my way to work i was low on gas and the warning light was on... but i was late so i said I would get some on my way home. Bout 2 or 3 Miles before I get to the Sunoco Before the GW Bridge, My engine shut off... I was stuck there like 2 hours with a dead cellphone to boot. One guy stops and says he will call the police for me, 1 hour goes buy and no police show up. I finally get up enough guts to start flaggin people down... One cop stops, I explain to him what happened and you know the @ssh0le says oh, "I thought something was wrong with you, let me go" I WAS LIKE WTF... I asked "you just gonna leave me out here, you aint gonna call for help or nothing" I said if he has a verizon phone I can call for roadside assistance because i have roadside assistance with roadside assistance. The jerk is like he don't have no more minutes its a prepaid phone. I looked at his phone and it was a PDA phone, you dont get prepaid plans on those. So he finally agrees to take me to the gas station but he has to leave me there. So when i get to the gas station, i buy a gas can call for the police to take me to my car. Man, Police could be such jerks... I know i was dumb for riding around taking chances like that but he was gonna actually leave there stranded like that

I actually had my gas warning light pop on two days ago but instead of saying "28 miles or 15 miles" it was just blank. I was terrified of running out of gas but I made it to a gas station before it cut off. (first time I seen the gas warning come up blank)

I have the same problem too...i'm sure it's all the altimas...It will display to me that i have like 25 miles left but then after that it will always show up blank....that damn thing pisses me off!!!
