Out of curiosity, how does the Silvia differ from the US 240?

I plan on eventually doing a complete Silvia conversion (if possible :p) but when I say complete, I mean down to the last straw (CA/SR and RHD conversions maybe not  ) every little detail.

Front EndTrunk/LockClimate ControlCA or SRRHD (duh :p)SR sticker on rear (on SR Silvias)

That's about all I got :\If you know anything I'm missing, because I'm sure I'm missing something, then put it down. In the mean time, I'm gonna keep searching.

Thanks.

There is no "SR" sticker on any silvia.

I hope your ready to shell out about 6 grand just to get your car equivilant to a "stock" silvia.

I think he means badges.

The best thing to do, is to look for pictures of some RHD silvias. I know they have some s15's and s13's on car domain.

Dont do a RHD conversion unless you have some fetish for them. Just get an SR and you can call your car whatever you want

The only way i would ever do a RHD conversion is if i could get all the parts cheap and had the skills to do it my self. It would be a fun weekend project and you would get something interesting out of it.

On the back of a Silvia, under the trunk, it says Twin Cam Intercooled Turbo, or something similar. It came with the SR powered Silvias.

RHD would be fun. Less chances of it getting stolen (how many people out there know how to drive RHD stick? :p) but I'd have to go through drive-thru's backwards unless I had a passenger. Doubt I'd do RHD, though.

RHD is fun, and the looks are PRICELESS. It's really not hard at all to get used to driving it though, so don't think it's gonna stop someone from stealing your car. If anything, it will be more attractive to a theif that knows what he's stealing. And there is a sticker on the side trim of the two tone coupes that says something like twin cam intercooled turbo (think it's shorter than that though, maybe just intercooled turbo).

honestly, i don't see any point in converting the usdm 240sx into RHD "wanna be" silvia. front end conversion is ok, other than that, i don't see any point in wasting all that $ and time; in which can be well spent on other things. *cough* performance.

SOME PEOPLE ARE INTO LOOKS.... AND DON'T CARE ABOUT PERFORMANCE. I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE THAT WOULD RATHER LOOK GOOD THAN GO FAST..... I WOULD RATHER BE RAGGED BUT FAST AS HELL, BUT THATS ME.

I think a RHD conversion would be novel, not particularly useful, but interesting nonetheless.

If you do an SR swap and get a clip, alot of times you will already have everything you need for the RHD conversion. You have to cut out your firewall and weld in a RHD one and change the dash and center console over. From there, you get to deal with the wiring.
