My car is out of coolant. I was wondering a few things:

1st: Should I just mix about 50% tap water with 50% anti-freeze?

2nd: Should I just add it to the tank in the engine bay? Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks.

ok, unscrew your radiator cap and fill it up to the top with 50/50 water and coolant. then fill tank up to min. run engine untill it warms up, then fill the coolant tank the rest of the way. dont open the radiator untill cool, and im not sure if there is a bleed valve on your car, there is one on mine by the temp sensor. if there is, open that and fill untill it overflows from there.hope you dont have a blown hg, your probobly fine.if you have any questions, you know were i am

not tap, distilled. you'll get a couple more degrees C cooling ability from it. also make sure the distilled water doesn't have added salt in it. many companies add salt. i personally use alhambra distilled water for my coolant mixes at 50/50.

Do I need to flush the radiator or can I just fill up the radiator and the tank? Will bad things happen if I don't?

Depends on the last time you flushed out your radiator. I don't think bad things will happen if you just top it off but I would recommending flushing it out if it's been a while.
