Hello,
Thanks for admitting us to the forum. We have been aware of y'all for over a year now & used you (thanks) to make sense of issues & gather info in regards to our therapist: a 1991 300zx 2+2 nonturbo 5 speed. Right now, she is down because the alternator went out. We purchased an Infiniti g35 (2005-7?) not knowing it may be great for 'part swapping'. Read that in the 300 forums somewhere. So, how much is swap compatible? Anyone done this before? Stuff we should be aware of from the jump? Thanks again. Look forward to communing with y'all ✌☉

Welcome aboard.

Without major work, nothing is really compatible across the Z32 and G50 platforms... maybe wheels, brakes and rotors?

Welcome to NICO, as AZhitman said the wheels and brakes are pretty much it for direct swap parts (the calipers require brackets to fit). I've read of people attempting the 6 speed swap and I do know that somewhere out there adapters are available but couldn't point you to where. I've also read of folks swapping in the VQ but that is very indepth and requires as much work as any other non-native swap.

Ok, y'all. Thanks for the reply. Hate to hear that re: swap. Guess we will find something to do with g35. Tomorrow we will just get alternator from auto zone & be back on the road in our 300! Yay!
