My son Doug was really excited about this. Got it from the 2nd owner for almost nothing. Did not run. No clutch. Hard to move. Almost complete even with the owners manual.

Cab, doors, bed, hood & lt fender are good. Rt fender is somewhat crumpled as it the valence.

Doug cleaned the accelerator pump "jet", put in new gas and a battery now she fires up just fine. Bled the clutch sustem which now works fine. Cleaned two wheel cylinders and blew out a plugged line, bled the brakes. Now the wheels turn and we sorta have brakes - some adjustment needed.

Runs down the road just fine. Steering is tight.

He is putting 510 seats in it. We also need to fix the front end damage which isn't too bad and WE NEED A WINDSHIELD cause the one in it is very foggy when looking out from inside. Also he wants to put on some newer alloy wheels but I think I want to go back to the stock ones.

Doug's 521 is a good find. The Appliance brand six bolt slotted aluminum mags are a double for the original stock Lil' Hustler factory rims, if you go that route. I found replacement centers through a mag wheel supplier in Oklahoma on EBay. The other member's comment on those "bus" mirrors may be a small blessing in disguise. The reason, they may be those hard to find original Datsun truck mirrors. Look closely on the stainless covers, there may be the Datsun imprint embossed on them. They were an accessory item offered through the factory. [IMG][/IMG]
