Other ways to check igition timing???

Is there any other ways to check igition timing other then with a timing light on the crank pulley..I mean is there a way i can get a accurate digital read out of what my igition timing is at...

digital? uhmmm not 100% sure but i think a dyno will do the trick for you ...not digital but not timing light either

I know that if you have stand alones you can display them on the screen but it is ALWAYS a good idea to double check with a good timing light at the crank pulley.

Just wondering why are you trying to find other ways to check timing? Pointing light at the crank pulley is very easy and reliable.

Cause i got a UR polised crank pulley and its damn hard to see the timing marks once you get the flashing light on there..Plus the marks are very small...Im thinking of just putting the stock pulley back on,Setting the timing and then put the UR pulley on again..Kind of a hassle though..Thats why i was asking...I saw some digital timing lights at checker the other day..But i dont think it gives you the timing reading digital..I think it only reads idle speed and volts..

So why don't you just paint the marks with a color that you can see when the lights are flashing? Polished pulley, put black marks on it....
