This could potentially be a really, really dumb question, but I'm going to go ahead and ask it anyway. It's sort of an involved topic to search on, and when I tried I got lots of unrelated stuff.

What I'm wondering is if there's any particularly good reason I can't mount another company's OEM seats in my S14? Specifically, I'd like to mount a 2004 WRX seat on the passenger's side. I've never mounted seats before, would a WRX seat mount to an aftermarket (i.e. Recaro or something) bracket in an S14?

Reason I'm asking is that I am selling my WRX (for the S14), but the seats were fantastic. I'll probably put a Recaro Pole Position or somesuch on the driver's side when the debt fairies stop hovering.

Alright, just asking because I know on NASIOC (Impreza Forums) people talked all the time about putting stock EVO VIII seats in their WRXs, so it would seem that in at least some cases, this can happen.

Seats are one of those things that are pretty easy to fool around with. I even heard once of someone putting 300ZX seats in their Civic sedan (guess he REALLY wanted leather). The question is how much work you want to put into it. At the very least you can expect to drill new holes for the seat rails.
