OK so i have been lookin around for coilovers and just reading and stuff. Now the more i read the more i hear how all the "JDM" companies produce the same crap no matter how u slice it. I was reading about some full prepped race cars and saw some companies they use like KW and Robispec. I saw KW makes coilovers, but i had trouble findin any for a 95-98 240sx. Also robispec makes custom applications, but are they only for evo's or can they basically make u suspension for anything? Any info would be great.

ALso a quick note i dont want full racing shocks, i just saw they have normal occasional track use coils in some cases.

not a lot of 240 guys ride KW... but I heard good reviews on them as far as the honda guys go.

and what do you mean that all JDM coilovers make the same sh1t? Not true... I mean, when you're spending less than $1000 on coilovers, you really can't expect much more than your average entry level feel. BTW, there are literally tons of JDM companies to choose from...

yeah i know there are tons. just when i read autox threads about how people have tested a couple companies even JIC sucked pretty bad. And no i do not mean like megans or anything like that i was lookin at stance al gr+'s but seems they are just fashionable now and a couple people have told me they arent much greater then anything else. The thing is i want to eventually get into like a scca touring class (far ways off) and want to get a suspension set up that is entry level but still is good enough to keep me competitive. Also i dont wanna waste money to jsut have some coilovers now and then buy better ones later. would rather just buy nice ones then if they break i can rebuild them.

There are a couple of companies that make quality parts for your ride.

I responded in the other thread you asked me about.

Do your research online about a koni/ground control setup. Worth every penny if done correctly.

Edit: Check on zilvia, theres a guy who makes custom housings for drop in koni's. Be prepared to wait though, theres a long waiting list.

Umm from what i hear, don't bother, they aren't in business anymore so they are insanely hard to get rebuilt if they blow. Quality, I'm not sure, I can't really say, I don't really have personally experience.

I rode in an s13 with them on when I was like 16, I got a headache, they are rough, haha.

I don't know if you read sanjuros thread or not, but he's on the right track.

Not all companies are made the same. Some have quality parts, and others well lets just say don't have what you want. Look around and go for price and performance.
