Guys, has anyone used this before? Does it look reasonable for DIY Fuel flush kit for Q45?.

I have used another kit before but it used pressurized can. I am looking for one that works with Shop air. The price seems reasonable. On eBay you can have it shipped within $120. I was thinking about putting in a can of BG44K, pressurize it with shop air and flush the rail.

What do you guys think?

The BG44k is not flammable enough..[as it mostly detergemts]..............use the special BG Fuel Injection System Cleaner and run the engine at idle for the 15 minutes until empty.....let it spit and sputter and die.....then remove and return to normal.

I vary the pressure so that the injector sees 34 >44>55 psi during the process remember to block off return hose!

Then use BG ISC outside [the fumes will kill small mammals] as the Coup de Grace then immediately drive on the highway 15 minutes and exercise the crud out.

Spend an hour to perform these 3 separate cleaning [TB, plenum runners, injectors, valve stems and piston crowns and rings should make it look brand new inside..................at least where the air and fuel goes.

Dennis, so the kit I referenced in the URL should do the job? I would like someone to confirm if this kit seems reasonable enough.

I have done DIY fuel rail flush myself before using pressurized cans with minimal success. This kit with cannister setup seems to me that it should work perfectly - just wanted to confirm before purchasing.

I took note of your checmical preference.

Thanks

You will need to make adapters to the fuel rail metal pipes.

Just like the w hoses that feed and return fuel off engine.

A sealed hose to block of return line and a feed to rail.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO MAKE A METAL LOOP to connect the existing hoses together [from fuel filter hose back into return hose to tank] so that you can idle the car and not destroy fuel pump or make a fuel mess.

Removing the fuel pump fuse is less elegant.I always yse BG44k in fuel tank so this process is circulating it at high volume while the engine runs off of fuel in process tank.
