I would just like to know which members of NICO are in the Air Force, I'd like to possibly ask some questions of currently enlisted people. My mom is trying to get me to join up, mostly because she works at an employment agency here and knows how badly the job market sucks here. And the AF would be the obvious choice for me because I am a computer nerd.I'd like to collect some email addresses if I could, specifically, those of you lucky enough to be stationed in Japan.

thanksryan[email protected]

WD Racing is Air Force. Stoneage Turbo is Air Force. Hmmm, I can't think of who else is Air Force offhand. You might want to email them. : )

My bro is a USAF pilot. Might not be relevant to your situation, but if you want, I'll hook you up with his email. He's a cool guy, and he's got ALL KINDS of stories to tell!

Thanks guys, I'd only be interested in the AF, actual fighting isn't really my interest, I'd rather just hack into Osamas mainframe and bring down his whole infrastructure... that is if he even has computers and not a bunch of rocks ;) :)

maine, send me your brothers email address, I might shoot him an email, I already emailed WDRacing and Stoneage Turbo.

I spent 8 yrs in the USAF as an F-15 Crew Chief . Wouldnt trade it for anything. Its definately what you make of it. If you have a problem with authority its gonna be miserable 4 years, however. Unless you are on a free ride with an achedemic scholarship and a future so bright you gotta wear shades, your crazy for not giving your country a couple years. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

Yeah, I am highly thinking this over... I'd have to wait till June to actually be able to start or ship out or whatever, because I start school tomorrow, but that means I have 6 months to start getting in shape so that I can cruise through boot camp. But that also means I'll only have 6 months to enjoy my sr20, which royally sucks... There might be a 240SX for sale on NICO for a good price pretty soon.

I've been in the navy for 13 years. I work on communications, radars and currently I am teaching information systems maint( computer repair (Lans, Wans and Stand alones.). All the services have decent training programs but I would stick to the air force or Navy. They tend to have the higher level of training when it comes to schools. Yes I have been to Army, airforce and Navy "C" Schools so I can make that last statement. If you have any questions drop me an email. Either you like the navy life or your dont. Just remember you get out of it what you put into it. Most people who say they cant stand the (NAVY, Airforce, Army) life then more than likely they didnt put anything effort into it.

I was highly recruited out of the U of A to go into the Air Force OSI - Scored in the 99th %ile nationally on my ASVAB (sp?) and also in the 99th %ile on the OQT (sp?), plus Dad was a 22-year Navy man.

Failed the physical twice - Being legally blind with a congenital heart defect will do that to you. :sad

Never understood those rules, especially since I wouldn't be slogging through a swamp with a rifle...

Their loss - I'd have done well in a military environment.
