OT: Renault thinking of returning to NA in 4 years!!!

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Renault is considering returning to the North American Market! here is the story: http://www.autoblog.com/2009/1...erica/ .

I am totally excited if they decided to come to the USA with the hot hatches the Clio and r28 Megan cup hatch!

I doubt they will come with the Europe version of the cars here.

I see very slim chances this will happen.

I guess they could use their alliance with Nissan to bring in some models...

But anyways all cars coming to NA from Europe are always modified (which means imo make them less interesting). Saturn tried to sell the Astra on our side of the ocean and it did not work out too well for them even if this car is a top seller in Europe.I was debating getting that car and people were complaining there were not enough cupholder in that car ...

NA is a whole different market.

we have an astra also, they are very good cars. i have heard people complain about the cupholders and no aux input. just small things but an awesome car at that.
