Off topic but I'm in Tampa Bay and just have to say GO RAYS!!!That was probably one of the best baseball games I have been to in a looooonnnggg time. Normally I'm used to going to Rays games to see how bad they will lose. But this time it was a nail biter till the end. I was lucky enough to get Game 7 tickets...now I wish I could just afford to get World Series tickets...not going to happen.

Nothing like having the World Series in your town in October and then hosting the Super Bowl the following February. Traffic is gonna SUCK!

Haha, traffic must have sucked last night with the Bucs and the Rays playing on the same night...

On another note - GO PHILLIES!

Nah, not too bad. Bucs are in Tampa and Rays are in St. Pete. Far enough that it didn't cause too much congestion.

Hasn't Tampa beat Phil. in Football and hockey? I guess we might as well add on baseball too! heh heh. That would cover all our sport franchises that we are in down here.

Lol, the flyers suck this year so far.

But last year I believe it was the Lightning that didn't do too hot - flyers made it to the CS agains the penguins...

Only no one goes to the games. Did you see how empty the stands were in the first round of the playoffs? The only reason that the stands were full last night I because of all the Boston fans that went. I wonder if there will be enough Phillies fans traveling to Tampa to fill the stands for the World Series.

I'm a Dodgers fan but I definitely like the Rays. I'm pulling for them in the World Series!

Honestly, I hate our baseball stadium. I've been to a few games there and after watching baseball in Houston it's not the same.. Hopefully we'll get a new stadium in Tampa.. I'm not going to a game in St. Pete and drinking a bunch of beer then driving back to Tampa.. Give us a new stadium next to Raymond James and I'm in there like swim wear...

Agreed, but if/when they get a new stadium it is going to be on the water in downtown St. Pete. The main thing I hate about going to the Trop is the parking...it's horrible. Since we don't have a Metro like Atlanta EVERYONE has to drive. Atleast at the old Busch Stadium in St. Louis they did it right. They had 2 garages on either side of the stadium with walkways directly into the stadium. I haven't been up there since they built the new stadium so I don't know how it is now.

I've always thought they should build the baseball stadium next to Raymond James Stadium and just make a huge sports complex. But traffic would have been horrible then on Sunday with both the Bucs and Rays playing.

The World Series sold out within about 15 minutes so I have no doubt the Trop will be full. But I agree, the drive down to St. Pete for most of the fans is horrible. Especially when you hit I-175 or I-375.

Lol, I heard about the new stadium coming to the water in St. Pete. I think it's a nice alternative and I also agree with the traffic around both stadiums, it would kill Tampa, our highway and parking situation kinda sucks. I think we outgrew ourselves already. Hey, if you ever want to meet up and talk V's or if you know how to work on cars and want to help with a few small things let me know... Thinking about switching my springs and a few other small things.. maybe we could start a Central Florida social club?
