For those of us who still use D2S bulbs and do not have LED headlamps, there is a new bulb available. Many of us have the Osram 66240 Cool Blue Intense Xenarcs. They were considered to be the absolute best bulbs until now. Osram has released a bulb that out-performs. I made a post in the official lightning thread.

The bulbs look great but maybe a little too bright. They almost look like high beams.

Driving home from practice tonight the bulbs didn't go through the deep blue tint when they fired up and the light spread has less of a purple tint after about 3 hours total use. Reggie is right - they probably do seem too bright to those who use the OEM bulbs. These are probably 500 lumens brighter with 100 more lux. These match closer to the Q50 bulbs than the M bulbs.

so Larz, one year later, how do you feel about the CBH's now? I have the CBI's and find myself wanting to switch but can't decide if it's worth the money

If I'm honest, I fancy the color produced by the CBH over the CBI - nearly high-noon daylight as it shines on the road. However, the CBH's do not seem to cast light at a noticeably greater distance than the CBI's. Mostly, I changed to CBI on impulse to get the latest version. I reckon if your CBH's are working fine, why bother changing until they lose distance or lumens. I don't regret buying them and I am completely happy, but it's mainly the color they cast that is different. Performance is stunning for either bulb.

Pulled the trigger on the CBH's and love them. I agree with you, I prefer the slightly whiter color they produce than the CBI's. Thanks again for your help on this sir!

You're most welcome! I wish they called them Cool White instead of Cool Blue. They are certainly NOT blue after a few hours of break-in. They also seem to cut a wider, longer swath than the CBI's but that might be subjective on my part.

Was casually browsing TRS today, only to see that Osram now offers Cool Blue Boost (CBB) bulbs which is supposedly brighter than the CBH's....I'm slightly tempted
