os giken twin plate clutch cover

ok so i am gunna be installing my fw, clutch and trans tonight so i am getting everything rdy, i have the specs on the flywheel to block, but i cant find the specs on the covers allen bolts. its like a pressed peice of steel with 30 allen key bolts how much should i torque them down

good and tight. I dont think there is a spec for these bolts. If there is I dont speak Jap so it going to be hard to find it. I have the same clutch in both my rb swaps now. I just always hand tighten with a ratchet till there tight.

sounds like you are strugglign big time...

the cover isn't much torque.. the bolts are small. probbly 12-15 ft-lbs. i think that was the spec for the exedy cover.

for a twin plate it will be flywheel, clutch, sandwich flywheel, clutch, cover. align it all with the clutch alignment tool and make sure the sandwich flywheel and cover are BOTH in the right position WRT the main flywheel, otherwise your clutch assembly wont be balanced.

hahah whats WRT position ? does it matter which side clutch disc is on it looksd like one side sticks out more than the other and its not labeled

IIRC the flat side faces towards the Flywheel.

yummy thnx !! aww man garage i owe u man !!! awesome write up, with this i should have motor in car TODAY W00t although it wont be running anytime soon, gettin that motor in car is a HUGE morale boost

WRT = with respect to

the zeroyon install says to offset the sandwich flywheel from the main flywheel.. that is strange. on the exedy you have to line them up. either way, there should be a mark on the outside of the entire assembly which indicates how they are supposed to line up.

pilot bearing wouldnt go in..... gunna have to prolly get an oem one SUCKS !!!!
