Hey guys I just pulled my transmission off lastnight and expecting a stock clutch that I would have to replace i was pleased to find something a little better. I didn't get a chance to take it off but the markings say "OS" and then C-D I looked it up and its a OS Giken multi disc clutch, I'm not sure if its a twin or triple yet. I'll try to have some pics up here in a min but what does everyone think about this brand? and does anyone know the spesifics of what the "C-D" model ?

it looks like a twin plate, why not take it apart and find out?

Very nice catch... Take it apart and check out the discs. You buy a rebuild kit if need be. But make sure you keep everything in order. I will be upgrading soon to a twin plate soon so your just one step ahead of me

Looks like mine a bit ... very noisy unit ... but great grab ... a normal clutch won't feel the same again. Its a very heavy pedal feel but very aggressive through the gears ... I have a aluminum driveshaft too that I put on at the same time so I am not sure what the clutch feels like by itself. You will love the way it spins ... LOL

no carbon, sorry. it will be a semi-mettalic friction surface. They come with either sprung or solid center sections. You will love the clanging noise when you put in the clutch as the plates dance around in the cage.

my wife's CA twin is a solid disk and smooth as silk. The disks are used though, new disks will be grabby, get sprung disks, that will help. It takes some getting used to but is very streetable. Triples on the other hand are a nightmare. Be sure to have your clutch pedal bracket seam welded as they break with stiff clutches. Mine just broke last week and all I have is a three-puck and heavy pressure plate.

You can usually hear a twin plate jingling from twenty feet away, the noise is cool.

ENONVATIVFORCE.com has them for sale new for $1580 which is the only company in america I can find that deals with them.

Just realized I'm going to need a flywheel if I go that route... any recomendations anyone selling a stock RB25 flywheel?

well long story short I dont have 3 weeks and the money to spend on the new discs. So I found out Thaggard has Nate's old clutch that he had custom made for him by Spec and he doesn't need it anymore since his transmission plans changed SOooo I'm going to go with that clutch and a stock flywheel. I might keep the Os giken until later might sell it dunno. But this clutch will be all I need and more, should hold around 1000hp.

This is the clutch Nate ripped his rear end out with (on the old disc) and is still streetable
