$200 to $10,000 plus, just depends on the quality you demand and are willing to pay for, like almost everything else you purchase.

The question is do you strip it to bare metal and reprimer or do you strip the clear coat and spray over old paint then add new clear coat.It will take almost 4 quarts per coat.

I not sure there are many shops in US that would attempt to duplicate the oem paint to the quality level it came new?

4 quarts per coat? Are you rolling it on? Maybe 4 quarts (single stage) for the car.

Also stripping the stock paint off of a factory painted car is not only a waste of energy but also greatly increases the chances of developing a problem, factory paint is an excellent base to respray on-assuming that the original paint is substantially intact.

Base/clear paint jobs are a minimum of $1000 and go up dramatically. If your car is mostly dent free and you budget $1500-$2000 you can get a very nice paint job.

The Identification plate under hood had paint and trim codes.

The specs are 3 coats of base , and 3-4 coats of fluorine clear coat to build up oem specs.

Pearl is special................good luck.

We see hundreds of repainted cars none match brand new most are like sand paper.

All paint codes for each year are in a separate TSB.

You should not even think of cosmetics until you get those chain guides done!!

Kinda like shopping for cosmetic surgury when you are dying of cancer?

Special mean technically special/different. My posts never concern themselves with looks or asthetics..........waste of time and money.

Well, it would be awfully sad to paint it first, START THE ENGINE to drive home from the painters shop and grenade the motor.... Why you fix mechanicals before cosmetics......

I have to admit that the OE paint jobs on our Q45s is some of the best I've ever seen. I see 14-18 year old Qs in the junkyard that still have good paint jobs, despite body damage and obvious neglect.

I hate to admit it, but my Q has been repaired at some point in the past. I believe it was a long time ago and it looks just as good as the rest of the car. If it wasn't for the pinstriping differences I don't think anyone would ever know. So, a good comparable paint job is possible, but it probably costs $$ and I'd check lots of references.

Girls care about looks and aesthetics. Also, would you be interested in a girl who is "mechanically" put together but smells bad, has greasy hair etc etc. LOL

Girls are fun-and soft-and smell good. Cars should be similar.
