man the fun thing about the track pad wasnt the running on it but sitting down and using your fist to hit the button. me a friend got wasted one night a decided to hook up the nes and play track and field for like 6 hours... fun times.

the power glove was this ****! the pad was fun too, but the glove became part of a halloween costume within a month of it being bought (it didn't work for crap):D

I liked just Football, as well as Ice Hockey, I always had a bunch of the fast little guys running around as opposed to the big slow guys

ROFL. That game was great. So were Paperboy and Cali Games.... ould skewl.

Hell I remember playing those on a Commodore 64 when I was like 3... lol.

Blades of Steel *is* the best hockey game ever though.

The combat system still makes me smile.

Ice hockey was the ****, so was the volleyball/soccer game, cuz in the soccer one you could do these super kicks that knocked over anyone in their way and were just about unstoppable. also, there was that one space game where you had to travel to 12 different moons (which were the levels) to beat the game. I never made it past moon 2, haha. and is it just me or was the duck tales game really hard to beat?? I was only like 5 at the time but damn...anyways, the 80's rocked, there was alot of good stuff besides rock stars with hair 3 ft long which is what usually comes to mind with that deckade. chip n dales and ninja turtles owned all, damn i miss all my shows from kindergarden

What about the robot baseball game? Basewars, thats what it was called. That game was great, no umpires, it just breaks to a fight scene if the call is close lol.

A bunch of people commented on Mario 2, so I just thought I'd let you know that 2 was so different because it wasn't a Mario game. It was a different game in Japan and they just modified it, turning it into Mario 2 for the US, that is why it was so different.

Almost every game mentioned I either had or played extensively, it's great. I still hold true to my belief that NES was the greatest gaming system ever. Between my brother and I we've had Game Gear, Genesis, PS1, PS2, dreamcast, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and I've played almost every other system...nothing compares to NES. I'm so happy I grew up in the 80s and will remember playing NES for hours.

Anyone remember the glove controller they put out? What a piece. And there was a game, I think it was called Burger Time...awesome stuff.

Ok, my beer is empty, off to play some video games, and get drunk!

i remember one game that was so great but i dont remember it's name...

it was some half naked he-man type guy...there was a large sword...and crystals/diamonds/gems and the mountains were significant...that is about all i remember of it though...

That theme song was great... i had skate or die 2...where you could go to the half-pipe and stuff...i liked eating crap and making the bowling pin come out of the bushes or whereever it came out of... Damn i loved that game.... i gotta go look for it.

I dunno, sounds kinda like Amagon to me.

And I dunno about you guys, but I really had some good times with the original Metroid. That was the best game for Nintendo, bar none.

rofl... i couldn't get past the 1st level... too confusing for a damn 6 year old... but it was a badass game... i loved rolling into the ball n stuff..that was pretty cool...

Yeah same for me, I couldn't figure anything out when I was 6. But download it and try playing it again now and it'll come to you easily. It did for me... I beat Mother Brain within 3 hours or so.

give me a current game that's not an RPG, and I can probably give it a beat down, think I'm about to start trying to beat Halo on Legendary, never got around to doing that...

I think i might have you all beat on your old hook-ups for nintendo

about 2 years ago i aquired an old=school 8-bit nintendo for ten bucks. Still in the orginal box, my neighbor had it in his garage and said he hated video games. I walked home and opened it up immidiatley(found out i could have sold it for like 200 bucks, but it hink i got my use out of it just keepin it). ANyway, im the only person i know with a nintendo that still SMELLS new!!!
