Original HID kit from infiniti? possible?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I am wondering if everyone here has asked infiniti dealer to install infiniti HID kit on the journey package ex35? I haven't asked my dealer yet. If they can't, I will buy aftermarket HID kit and have them installed for me. I think if I can get the one from infiniti, it must be better quality than any aftermarket product (not all I think, but I think better than most of aftermarket kit)... please advice. Thank you.

Not Possible.

The Original or OEM HID projector assembly pivot from left to right and up

and down depending on the angle of the front bumper vs the road .

I don`t think the Infiniti dealer will install aftermarket kits for your car.

If they do, they won`t give you any warranty protection. Why do you have

to pay them 5x than a normal local certified radio/hid installer in your area?

If you buy an aftermarket HID kit and have it installed by a professional

installer, don`t expect a beautiful HID cutoff. Our stock bulb projector

doesn`t give or produce a perfect HID cutoff but still cool looking.

Here`s a distinct HID CUTOFF

Left is lower than the right side to prevent blinding on coming traffic.

Here`s my EX35 with aftermarket HID kit in a stock bulb projector housing.

I realize this is a bit off topic, but I have a question: are BOTH the driver's and passenger's side headlights supposed to pivot when you turn the wheel? My driver's side headlight doesn't pivot when i turn to the left, but the passenger's side pivots when I turn to the right. When I told my dealer that, the tech said that only the passenger's side is supposed to turn. Then he tried another EX and it was the same way.

Come on dude. This is all in our owner's manual. Section 2-35 to be exact.
