im been slowly buying the parts to do a Silvia front end on my coupe, i already have the headlights, brackets, corners and grill. still need the front bumper, hood, and fenders. This left me with a question. Are the Origin 20mm Type II front fenders direct bolt on or do they need to be molded/rivited on to stock silvia fenders and the fenders cut????

they are direct bolt on, however i would TRY to get oem metal pieces, i have installed 1 set of wide fenders, granted they were 50mm, but they were almost unbearibly difficult to work with, unless you know your way with fiberglassing, i would stongly suggest OEM, you may need to fix some cracks that are caused by having to force installation because some of the mounting locations are just a little off

why would you want wider fenders, it looks like you have pretty good wheel fitment as is??

well the wheels actually stick out past the fenders but you cant see that from the side view in my sig, my car is going to be my street car and not a drift car so i want the wider more aggressive stance. with it being slammed and the stretched tires i think the fenders will give it a really nice look. maybe a little insight on my overall look you can see what im planning so i'll fill you in, silvia front, origin streamline body kit, 20mm type ll fenders, 30mm type I rear over fenders, carbon fiber hood and trunk, all painted dark purple. please dont flame me for wanting my car purple, its just i love seeing custom jdm silvias purple and i want to go for something close to that.

those origin fenders are fiberglass , right???? Even the best quality overfenders need some molding and work to make them fit perfect.

yeah i know the rear over fenders need to be molded so i was wondering about the front fenders, because i couldnt tell from any pics of them if they were bolt on or had to be molded as well. i dont plan on putting the silvia front end on myself, i have a body man that im going to use so everything will line up right. if it was going to be a drift car then i would do it myself but because its going to be a street car it has to look super clean when its finished. thanks for letting me know whats up with them because i might just go with OEM fenders to save a buck.
