Does anyone know if any 1990 Q45's were equipped w/ factory pioneer fm modulated cd changers? My other '90 had a Sony 10 disc, the one i have now has a 12disc pioneer w/ controls in center console.

I've only heard of the Sony 10 disc in the early years (90-93) that wasn't FM modulated, but did have a seperate controller and the Sony 10 disc & Clarion 6 disc in the 94-96 that was controlled "completely" through ther Bose HU.

In short if it's FM modulated, it's probably a dealer (or consumer installed) option, not an Infiniti option.

This is a copy of an old post that i didn't get any reply's to, please read...Sound like a weak signal..bzzz What's up guys, I have a '90 q45 w/ a fm modulated "factory"(at least i thought it was) Bose, w/ pioneer cdx-fm1227s 12disc changer w/ remote and factory bose speakers currently installed. when I play a cd the sound is not clear. It sounds like when you turn the dial on an analog radio and its in between stations, you know that "snow-like buzz" kinda like w/ a tv. Its coming from all speakers. Its not like a bad ground, in fact the front drivers speaker has a bad ground i hear it every so often and tap it and it'll go away. I'm not familiar w/ this kinda stuff, so i'm not sure how to troubleshoot it, Help. It's very evident that the sound is there when a cd is playing and I press pause, the music stops and boom there it is "standing alone". It goes up and down w/ volume and doesn't fluctuate w/ rpm's. Any idea's? The radio itself seems to be playing ok, but i kinda think even it's clarity is compromised too.Any ideas?

Yep, $100 shipped. I bought it from a NICO Q owner that lost his Q to a fallen tree. I "hoped" to be able to adapt it to work in a 94, but after some research never even tried (long story).

Here's the pic from where he posted it for sale ...Click for large pic

Here's the thread I bought it from originally.
