i ordered my HKS Hiper cat-back system today from enjuku, but they conveniently ran out of them last friday for the s14. nah, i'm sure it isn't their fault, but that makes me so mad. if its because of those people striking on the shipping docks or w/e (thats why they said they didn't have any) then i want to kill them all. my order is still on order with them, so whenever they get some in, they will ship me one, but damit i wanted it soon!!!!! i hate being so impatient

I foyu kill them all, they'll have to re- hire/train all the newbies, so it will take even longer for your exhaust to get there. just wait it out. I (sort of) feel your pain.

Ouch, bad to hear, but what can you expect. These days, parts have to be ordered 6months in advance unless you have a hook-up.

dont like the N1 duals that much. never have been a fan of dual tipped exhausts. i love the Hiper, and i really like the N1 single also. the only reason i didn't get it is because the piping for the NA application is still bigger then what i want. i think its 2 3/4", where the Hiper is 2 1/2

Is there a low end loss with the Dual N1?

I know how you feel man I ordered mine from enjuku and they told me they wer on back order also, but I got mine in about a month. I went with the N1 dual and I love it, no loss at all and it sounds soo nice.

i've seriously thought about the dual before. but the more i think about it, the more i want the Hiper. its just so, i don't know. i love it so much, lol. i've ordered from enjuku before and they were very helpful. i got my eibach's from them pretty quickly. i was hopin i would have the same luck w/ my exhaust, but apparently not :(

I just don't really like the way 1 big rice exhaust pipe looks, it does not look bad, but it reminds me of rice. I think any exhaust looks nice on the 240s becuse they're big cars, so it's not quite out of place. plus I only hear good stuff about the dual N1.

oh yea same here, nothing but good stuff. i see your point in the muffler thing. but i don't care, whose ricer muffler on a civic can stick out of the rear end at an angle, and sound soooo good?? :)

I love my N1...but, as jeremy said once"LOUD!"but I like it. with my intake done, it sounds bad-*** and I can bark 3rd gear easy...of course, 2nd gear in the rain SUCKS...but that'll be fixed with a VLSD later...-chet

What exactly does the Hiper exhaust sound like anyway? I've checked it out and I'm not sure if I want to go that route or just go to an exhaust shop and have them make something for me with a Magnaflow muffler and some sort of high flow cat to save some money. The main thing is I want a deep sound, not that high-pitched "Civic" sound. Any advice?

The hiper is probably the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard. Of course I'm biased, becuase I have it on my s13. It's really smooth and mellow. Its just loud enough, but not too obnoxious. You hear it when you're driving, but its not loud enough that you have to yell over it. It's a pleasant sound. When it's really hot, it tends to fart if you free rev the motor. But the farts are sound like "puffs," and don't happen very much. Definitely NOT rice. This exhaust makes your car sound very healthy and sporty. If I had the choice to buy exhaust again, I'd get the Hiper hands down.

Its a great exhaust. Im hoping to get a vid of it sometime so people can hear it. I bought the exhaust without knowing what it would sound like. I just heard some good reviews of it on various forums. Dont regret getting it. It does get a little load and deep when it gets hot. I might get a silencer for the long trips.

I live in a City of ricers, so it scares me to look rice.

Today I pulled up next to this civic for sale and it had all this crap done to it (ZC engine, cam gers, intake, exhaust) so I rev up. He does not, when the light turns green I keep it in 1st and just stay next to him, and at about 15mph he takes off, he pulls like 1/2 a car since I was not ready and I held him totally till about 65 when I started pulling. Smart ricer though, if we would have taken off from a stand still I would have rocked him. Maybe he knew 240s are fast off the line? Humm..

Ya, I usually get a good view of those FWD cars smoking the tires while I pull away. It's great.. I'm surprised 240s aren't more popular than they are. The need to give the US the Silvia.

I dont think this exhaust looks rice at all. Just because civics and other ricers put similar style exhaust dont make these rice. Many of the super tuned Silvias, 180s, and Skylines of Japan have these n1 type of exhaust on their cars, would you call them ricers? I think it looks sweet coming out of the back at an angle like that.

I'm gonna go ahead and save up for the hiper then... I don't want to risk sounding rice even if it would save me $100 or so.Email me if you'd like to donate to my hiper exhaust fund! :wavey
