The "inside info" says it's 320 HP, and a 7AT. I'm willing to bet that the 10 HP is a loss on paper only designed to give the coupe a HP advantage. Otherwise, who would pay more for a car with half as many doors?gwoods wrote:Sweet! last I heard the G37 sedan was a 2010?
Is the motor 330 or 350 hp?
Is the transmission 5sp or 7sp auto?
What is the curb weight?
I MUST KNOW!
The 7 spd auto would be NICE, keeps the motor in the power band more and could give better gas mileage.rn79870 wrote:The "inside info" says it's 320 HP, and a 7AT. I think that's a mistake everybody makes when they add a mod. Most mods don't add power, most merely replace some of the power that's lost when the engine is put in the car in driving form. IE. when they dynoed the engine for the 306, the engine was out of the car without intake and exhaust restrictions and temperature controlled. It also didn't have a rear end eating up a chunk of power. That's why rear wheel HP isn't near published HP - parasitic losses.gwoods wrote:
320 hp isn't enough to get me to trade my 306 hp 07 sedan.... If the Fujita intake does what it advertises I already have 316 hp.
Some kid in a pt cruiser tried to race me today. I just laughed at him as he floored it and almost crashed. "G37 sedan was unveiled in Geneva Motor Show for the European market.[4]. It features the same basic engine as the G37 coupe, but engine power was reduced to 306 hp and 258 ft-lb of torque.[5]"
