HI,

I have ordered my forged pistons (aries) and my metal headgasket yesterday from Australia

I should have them in about a week time since they are shipping them by air.

I will get some pics when I get them.

I believe they are arias, not sure about the spelling of it, I called Glen Campbell in Australia (The MASTER FOR NISSAN TUNING), and I told him that I need stock spec. forged pistons for a ca18det, and He said that he has them and they are made by arias. SO I ordered them with the a metal headgasket which is made by tomi.

Looking forward to see them. I am already running 13.4sec 1/4 with my pulsar fwd. So with these pistons, I should be able to crank the boost a little more.

I have already installed a t28 high flow, 550cc injectors and jwt ecu. ca16de cams but with these cams I didn't notice any hp increase.

yeah, ive got the ga16 cams and didnt notice anything either, the hp gains is a myth i think. how much did that head gasket cost you? i need to order one and i am kinda short on money, haha. id love to be running 13.4sec in the quarter, but money shortages keep me from doing so, as im too lazy to work. oh, and i feel really dumb asking this, but what's glen's website? i probably already know it but i cant make the connection. hope the pistons are nice, youll have to come tell us all what theyre like. same with the head gasket, as i need one soon.

Here is the website,http://www.c-red.com.au/index.shtml

when you email them, ask for Glen Campbell, this guy knows ca18det more than any one on earth including nissan themselves

I live in Canada and I tried to email him few times but he never got the emails, so I called him yesterday (called Australia) and talked with him for a while, and I ordered them, headgasket cost me 450 AUS dollars.Regarding money, I am running pretty tight on money as well, I lost my job few weeks back, thanks to stupid high tech. after 8 years in high tech, I got laid off.So if any one know of a company that is looking for an Electronics Technologist, please let me know lol

I want to buy the pistons and the gasket before I run out completely and then I can't aford to change them, and end up selling it for dirt cheap and I don't want to do that.

Why did you decide to upgrade your internals? Are you after more reliable power or did you break something? Arias pistins and a metal gasket should serve you well, though I would get the rods treated as well.

Hi,

NO,I didn't break any thing, but I got a high flow t28, and I still have my stock factory headgasket on, I am running around 16psi, I believe it is just a matter of time before I blow up the headgasket, also I don't believe that my rings are in there tip top shape since they are leaking some pressure and oil is shooting through the valve cover nozzle. So I though, If I am going to replace the headgasket, I might do some internal works at the same time.So I am getting the pistons 20 tho oversize, so I can bore the block, I am looking for a high pressure oil pump if any one knows where I can get it, please let me know.

I am not planning to replace the connecting rods, since I will be acceeding my budget, So, headgasket, pistons, connecting rod bearings, seals, and oil pump if i find one. But some one was mentioning before on another post that you can send the connecting rods to a machine shop and they will shoot metal balls at them (not sure the exact name) and that should make them stronger, so I might do that.

The shooting little balls I believe is shotpeening (sp?). I am not sure about the ca18 but since the sr20det rods are forged and shotpeened from the factory I would think that the ca18's are as well. If they are then another round of shotpeening will weaken them I think.

I hope you are right, so less work and less money to spend on them getting shotpeening.

Thanks,
