Hey sewright, when did you order yours and what exactly are you getting? I ordered mine on June 30th, but I don't think they submitted the order to Nissan until July 9th. They told me first week of September when I ordered it, and they still were saying that last week when we called for an update. So I am keeping my fingers crossed!

how is everyone getting them cheaper than me lol...im super happy, and the $ doesnt make that much of a difference to me (especially bc i have mine now, rather than later)...

But i was talking to dealers about ordering one, and they were saying 500 under sticker at best... some told me 2k over sticker...And i bought mine in NJ (2 train rides and 4 hrs of traveling), the guy who had ordered it in march didnt know the pmts would be so much and he just never took delivery so there was one waiting for me.. it sat on the lot less than 48 hours before i found it!

Bottom line, i paid sticker.p.s. i also got this theft insurance from them for $599 (10 a month on my finacing) which gets REPLACEMENT instead of book value incase of theft, which all tricked out.. who knows...

Thanks everyone!!

I ended up ordering it from the Nissan dealership here in Cheyenne. They honored the Vehicle Purchase Program through my father's work. No mark up. Straight invoice. Hell, the salesman said he would only be making $100 on the deal! (Not like a care OR believe him)

After work today I went and s/w the sales manager, just to confirm the order was placed. It was!! He also told me if Nissan has one that is EXACTLY like mine that is finished sooner, they will reallocate it to Cheyenne and I will take delivery of that one instead. So there's always the possibility of getting it sooner than 6-8 weeks.

I ordered on July 7 and it was submitted on July 9, i believe. Getting any more info has been an exercise in frustration...I ordered a Code Red 3.5/6-speed with the Premium package.

My car is on their website search now (meaning they got their invoice) but no truck (Lordstown Ohio where it gets invoiced is just a couple hours from here!!). I hoping for tomorrow so I have it for the holiday weekend. but at this point I'm not counting on anything.

I ordered my A/C on July 1st & was told I would get it end of August. Then I was told it was pushed to October. I love the car but I couldn't wait any longer so I canceled my order. These past few days have been triple digits & I have been driving my dad's truck with no ac. I ended getting a 350z which I do love too!

Thanks sewright.

My order was also supposed to be submitted on July 9th, so hopefully it was on the same train as yours. It's not on their inventory on nissanusa.com yet. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of next week. I have also been getting very limited information from the dealer.

WOW! Thats very unfortunate. . . . We dont live too far from one another. I'm suppose to order mine next week, I found a dealership in Berkley to give me a deal, he told me waiting time would be the first week of November!!! Sucks! But I LOVE this car, just graduated from CSUEB so I've been waiting for the car of my dreams. The first one I EVER saw was acctually in person, at my work. Dropped off for window tint. From then on, I Knew this was my next car!

I will Say a 350Z are pretty hot cars. What color?

Wow November is a long wait but it should be worth it. Unfortunately the heat was too much for me & I do love the 350z. I am originally from the Bay Area, Union City to be exact. I just moved to Tracy 2 years ago. Here is a pic of the 350z. I will be tinting it on Wednesday at Auto Sound Specialist in Union City.

yea its kinda bullsh*t how they dont mass release. It took me 2 months to find mine. if they gonna put a release date, they should have like at least 5 or 10 at every dealership. I was about to get a used 350z but parents thought it was a rough ride so end up getting the altima coupe. all ends well since i got the color i wanted, CODE RED!!

hn,

How are you liking the 2.5S? Enough power for everyday (quick) driving? My racing days are over (too many tickets); besides, my new job requires me to drive govt vehicles, so I gotta keep a clean record!

hn1204 I love the code red!

Would you mind reducing your signature picture? It should be a maximum of 600x200. While your car is beautiful, the pic you have is too big. Thanks!

Not everyone can afford or needs a 3.5. Everyone has reasons for buying the car that he/she chooses to buy.

I agree, my reasons for choosing the 2.5 S over the 3.5 SE are:

* Better gas mileage* Doesn't need premium gas* $4400 less expensive than the base 3.5SE* My old car was a Honda Civic with a 127 HP 1.7L I-4* Will still be capable of getting me speeding tickets

The 2.5 is quick but i havnt really test the true power of it yet. With myself and another, it feels quick, but after the third person in the car, it feels kinda sluggish. But then again, i havnt really pushed the car.

I was looking at the 3.5 but i couldnt find one in Code Red. And the dealership i went to, didnt want to find one for me because they wanted me to buy one from them. I saw a 3.5 in CR but it was a premium and that wasnt in my budget.

And could a 3.5 get 200miles on 1/4 a tank? haha

But i spent quite a bit on my altima, i got it for msrp because the dealership was a load of bull, we dealed on the phone but when we got there it was only for the car, no tax and title fees. So i end up paying around 25,700. Like a grand more, i could have gotten a 3.5, but i probably would have had to wait another month to get one in Code Red.

Let's just say that if your 2.5S doesn't arrive with at least a 2.5L you will be pissed.

L = LITER!
