WELCOME! :dblthumb: Sweetness! My kind of cleanliness! Color reminds me of Hugger Orange; had that on my 70 Camaro years ago! Have fun with the change-over. Why don't you put a crossbar in the cage and attach some nice safety harnesses? Beauty. :yesnod

Makes me really proud to hear that everybody likes it. It truly is my pride and joy. I am planning to add some takata harness's and a harness bar in the future. Engine first :)

OK finially some progress and some new pictures, Have sorted out the wiring. and all the plumbing on the 26. god there is alot you dont need!

Aircon compressor removed, rb26 power steering pump removed and the rb20 bolted into place. (conveniently fits using the standard mounting location of the air conditioning compressor)

Front pipe has turned up, still waiting on AFM's and hks hard intake kit. But the thing really slowing me down is the VRS kit, will seriously hurt somebody if this s*** doesnt turn up soon! As soon as it gets here the motor will be redy to have clutch bolted on and motor dropped into place.

All the engine covers have been nicely painted aswell. Here is some pics, also one of my new workbench :) (actually just reallised i didnt take one of the actuall work bench so i will get onto that in the next few days )

OP, you're in Australia... I'm just curious: Did you ever consider swapping in the VQ30DET instead? Australia seems to be the only place where I've seen ppl swapping that... :poke:

The two guys i sent hi res photos to let me know you got them ok?

So many kind words guys, makes me really miss my time in california in 2008 i really want to come back soon.

Far from it! our rules are very strict, but there are things called engineeres certificates that as long as an engineer deems your vehicle and mods to be safe you can get them signed off so police cant touch you. Some things cant be made legal like aftermarket ecu's etc but very seldemly do police realise and pin you for that. BUT some police will still defect your car no matter what the cert says, just to make your life hard. But its all part of the game!

and to the rb30 comment, lol anyone interested in group buy? ill organise a pallet of them haha

Spent a little time on the motor today, everything is stripped down ready to replace all the gaskets! also going to heat treat the manifolds and dumps.

Whole front of motor is finished

Cam seals
N1 oil pump
Water pump
crank seal
new idler bearing
new tensioner and spring
Gates timing belt

hmm think thats the whole front? Was starting to get super angry as i realised i got sent 3 crank seals instead of one crank and two cam seals... turns out cam seals are same part number as crank seals in 32 gtr's haha :)

Still waiting on vrs, and waiting for my standard manifolds and dumps to get painted in that black heat proof stuff. Should tidy it up a bit.

Then only thing left is rear main seal and bolt clutch/flywheel up and drop it in

Wiring is allready finished. Then just mod front pipe to fit my existing 3" cat back system and two cooler pipes and bam back on the road :)

Also found out i got a nice surprise turbo wise with my front cut, .60 - .64 turbos, There either N1 or Nismo Group A turbos. Pretty happy bout that

Sorry it took so long to get photos uploaded but here they are :)

Motor is in and cleared everything everyone said it wouldnt haha

That strut brace is cuscu and sourced it from japan, also there is no need to change manifold on the 20 untill your making 300rwkw and then you have to spend $1000 on a properly designed and manufactured item unless you want to go bacwards in power. and at that price id rather just stick another 4psi and some extra fuel in there i reckon it would give the same result.

:)

Sorry there has been a lack of reply's

Learnt a lesson during this, if you want something done right do it yourself!

the only thing i outsourced was wiring and they stuffed it, ended up using the gtr owners manual and re-wiring it myself from scratch, so there goes 3 weeks and $550 that i didnt have to spend if i had of just atacked it myself, but its finished now!

drives beautifully, amazing sound and on only 10psi it is amazing fast and responsive. going to run it in for a few days, do another oil and filter change and put it on the rolling road (dyno) and tune some more boost into it... probly about 18psi and its all finished.

Also some semi slicks going on tomorow morning so cant wait for that! will give it a scrub tomorrow and get some final pictures up for you, i just have this one for now

just from my camera phone sorry about the quallity!
