hello everyone... kinda new to the whole nissan scene, although the wife has a new sentra se-r and i drive an eclipse, im looking to buy a nissan 240sx 1990 and possibly go full out into a project car... just a few things i need to know.... oh and before i get into this, ill clear up a few things....1: no, i dont wanna swap to s13 redtop or any sr20det motor that'll be my last resort for making power, .... 2: i found this gem for 650 cdn dollars which is around 400 usd, no rust and barely running, kinda just wanna fix it up and make it my beater car

ka24de... i cant find anything for aftermarket parts wise... basic bolt-ons and exhaust is about all i could find, ive checked the sites, did a few searches, but really found nothing...

also, does anyone make an lsd for that year car, i know the later models come with one, or would the newer trans bolt up to the older motor.

and finally, turbo questions... ok... i can think of a few places where i can buy manifolds from, i know greddy has one and rev hard makes one too, but they're for the 95- 98 ka24de's. does anyone know if they bolt up to the early models? or am i gonna have to fab up something from scratch?....

that pretty much sums it up... i just wanna know if this will be worth my while.... i would love to have a turbo rwd!!hahaha... thx again

Well first off, you have a KA24E, not KA24DE. (The "D" denotes Dual Cams)

For NA 4 cylinders, there isn't too much aftermarket beyond intake and exhaust kinda stuff. What were you looking for?

You're talking girly FWD stuff for the LSD, we have seperate differentials that determine that stuff--it has nothing to do with the transmission, although all year 240's have the same transmission. Plenty of LSD's are available from vendors, but all the flashing sponsor ads to the left are a good place to start for anything 240 performance-related. Also, we can use the LSD's from certain year Infiniti J30's without any other modifications. Other years and 300ZX LSD's require their output shafts aswell.

As for turbo manifolds, I can't think of any big vendors off hand that make a SOHC mani ever since RealNissan.com went bye bye but I'm sure there are some out there.

yeah.... i figured that there wouldnt be too much aftermarket parts for it, but i know if i wanted to go with the sr swap, theres a grip load of parts,..... i wanna go a different route though, and have a ka all done up...

as for hp goals, ive pretty much found basic bolt-ons that should be able to take the ka and make it around 140-150whp, thats being generous imo, but that is my goal, also, have friends with access to parts like intake manifolds and such, so i guarantee ill be porting those as well....

as for an lsd, it was to my understanding that the 89-90 car didnt not have one... i would like to free up as much hp and torque as possible, i have lsd in both our cars and it makes a huge difference... i couldnt find one for the 89-90 so i just thought i should ask...

turbo will probably be the next step after basic bolt-ons... cause its probably gonna take me a while to fab up a whole kit and plus i dont really know what turbo configuration i wanna go with yet...its either big turbo and juice=drag car or little turbo and no juice= drift car...hahaha..maybe huh?
