Newer member who received help with another issue now posses another question. I would like to upgrade my 2008 G37 Coupe to include the Entry / Exit automatic seat and steering wheel movement for ease of entry / departure from vehicle. It seems that this option is only on the Sedan - Why, I can't imagine except perhaps the size of the doors on the coupe are intended to facilitate this function. I checked with an Infiniti dealership and was told the service manual did not specifically spell out what sensors or harnesses were different between the sedan and coupe models. I feel certain I am not the first person to wish to do this. Any enlightening information sure would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Joe A

I thought about the same thing with my '08 coupe as I also had a '07 sedan with that option and I can only conclude that due to limitation in rear leg room they did not want the seat to ram into someone causing damage to the person (or object) or the seat.

You're no doubt absolutely correct. Extremely limited rear seat room - - -but I still want that option, and there must be a way to convert it over to the entry / exit function. The search continues...

I understand it's only available on auto-sedans with Premium (and possibly NAV...too lazy to check). 6mt sedans don't have this option as it could pull someone off the clutch if the door were opened while the car was in gear.

It would be a software thing...you'd have to determine which component controls it and swap that component out with a similarly configured sedan one. Not something I'd want to deal with for a convenience feature.

My '08 Coupe is automatic transmission, and has Navigation, Blue tooth, and Back-up Camera. Sunroof and I believe ALMOST every other option - Except - The Intelligent Cruise and no sensors for perimeter or back-up, no lane guidance, or trick light from the mirror to the curb. Now that I've listed all the missing options, you again, are probably right - guess maybe I don't have the "Premium Package". lol

Well... it was a thought. If something changes, I'll let you know - - - :)

With those options you would probably have "premium" but the auto-entry was not available on any coupe. You would have to find what controls it and figure out what on a Sedan can be retrofitted to the coupe to allow that functionality. IMO, it's not worth the hassle.
