I've got a 95 240SX E and am fixing to order new rims& tires. I checked in the FAQ's and tried search but there are so many people asking about width / offset and then the dreaded "spacer" gets mentioned and most people end up telling them forget the spacer and get the proper offset wheel...
My question is: Since I'm going to order new wheels, what exactly IS the correct offset for running wide tires on an S14?
Currently have ICW Talon 17x7's with a +40 offset with 205/40 tires. I really like the tires on the rear wider than the front.
What is the widest tires I should reasonably run front & back that won't require rolling the fenders or other drastic mods? For the rear, I would like the tires flush with the top of fender (width-wise)
Supension is all stock and it's a 5-lug. 300Z brake conversion on the front.
I checked the ICW website and can't find a wider Talon wheel. I'd prefer to just have to buy 2 new rear wheels if I could find the same model and get the proper offset.
