Hi,

I was thinking of going +0 245/40/19 front & 275/35/19 rear but if you don't want any increase in harshness in ride or road noise should I stick to oem sizes? Any downsides on going thinner sidewall and wider tires all around?

Btw I'm going with Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110.

Appreciate any feedback?

What are the rim sizes for the new coupe? If they are 8" front and 8.5" rear, I recommend:

245/35-19 front
275/35 -19 rear

Yokohama S-Drives or Toyo Proxie T1R's are great tires....

Hey Joe,

Stock oem rims are 19X8.5 front & 19X9 rear. Would going to 35 series cause a more jarring ride? Or being wider it props up the tire.

Also what is the advantage of going staggered. Please explain as I'm a novice! :)

They must have changed it from the last coupe...

The 35 series tires will not cause a more jarring ride, if anything, it will be smoother. The only negative is that you may have more road noise due to the increased contact patch of the wider tire. This is more dependent on the tire used though. Both the Yokohama S-Drives and the Toyo Proxies were quieter than the OEM bridgestones. The advantage of staggered rims is the drive wheels are wider for traction purposes. It's all about the contact patch...

Thanks for the helpful information.

I'm now considering maybe Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. 245/40/19 front 275/35/19 rear. Maybe get end of Sept.

ride harshness will be decided by the tire load rating and the brand. Michelins typically have softer sidewalls resulting in better ride quality. Also, the profile size. but that usually means larger diameter, messing up speedo readings.

Yes, but you can adjust it via the diagnostic menu ;)

Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 in 245-35 and 275-35 without any issues. Ride is pretty smooth.
