So I've looked into what's available, and it seems that the most common ic piping diameters are 2.25", 2.5", and 3". Which one would work the best with a T25 on a KA24DET? I'm not planning on making crazy power, I'd probably run it at around 5 psi, if that matters. Thanks for any info.

With that tiny turbo and low boost, 2" all around will save you money and work just fine. Your best bet may be to go with a Ebay kit though. They seem to be pretty decent for the money.

FMIC Kit $110

FMIC Kit $145

FMIC Kit $156

2.25"

2" will reach the 300ft/sec intake air velocity boundary at 250whp..

i think 2.25 at the least, but if it was me 2.5" all around. why not go with the bigger piping if the cost difference is minimal. will leave room for when u upgrade ur turbo............u might say u won't but u will, we all do............

Well, the question was what pipe for a T25. To upgrade you'd need EVERYTHING replaced. So rather then talk him out of 2" piping you should talk him out of a T25 in general...

In Maximum Boost, theres a formula for IC piping size based on airflow. Unfortunately, my copy is packed away in a box somewhere...

about as big around as a quarter... Or you could just buy one of the preassembled kits that are based on the Greddy kit for the SR, seems like the easiest, safest, and best performing option. But whatever.

I meant to upgrade turbo's, sorry I didn't make that clear. The T25 is very small for a KA24. So the boost level you can run is very small. The T3 is the smallest I'd ever recommend to anyone unless they are going for a bare bones 5-6 psi kit. In which case a FMU and maybe not even FMIC is all you'll ever need.

am with him, why not use stock SR intercooler piping or, FMIC made for SRs.alot easier and also safest.
