Hi everyone,

I just got this kit hooked up in my car. It comes with an auxiliary wire that you are supposed to wire into the door lights/ dome lights so when you open the door the lights will come on white. Has anyone hooked this up? I tried splicing into the door sensor but it kept working opposite the other lights as soon as I grounded the sensor (door lights on leds off, door lights off leds on). Anyone have experience with wiring this kit correctly?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Instead of splicing into the door sensor just splice the wire going into the dome light.

Thanks for the responses! I think I might run into the same problem there it sounds like that's what happened to the guy on the sentry forum. I have no experience with relays. Any way you can provide some guidance there?

Normally a relay is used to control a higher voltage circuit with a low voltage circuit. I don't think this would be necessary.

Here are the instructions to the BT Designs installation where he splices into the wire going to the dome light.
