Yea, opps!

Many of you know I picked up a silver with grey ‘94’ Q45a with 132k miles about a week and a half ago.

I leased a Peal, white on white ‘91’ active in ‘90’. I drove it until ‘97’. I had bought it at the end of the lease.

In ‘97’ Infiniti, here in the Los Angeles area, had an event at a local race track parking lot. It was hundreds of lease cars back off lease.

I leased a ‘95’ active back off a two year lease with 24k on it. I still loved driving my ‘91’ but the extended warranty was gone and I wanted the lumbar support and thicker glass, etc. (the transmission on the ‘91’ with under 80k failed for the next owner in less than a week – according to the dealer who sold it to him.)

I bought the ‘95’ at the end of the lease and drove it until late 2001 when we traded it in on my wife’s new car at the time, a SAAB 93 SE convertible.

Now I have been accused of being a pack rate. Lord knows why. Several months ago in cleaning frenzy and an attempt to secure some additional room in the garage and one of my storage sheds I threw out;

Multiple articles clipped from magazines about the Q,

The very nice, large, coffee table book sent to me by Infiniti right after I took delivery of my first Q (a former infiniti employee called it the pizza box book),

Two very large three ring binders with about 6” of technical articles and musings from the early BBS/online group from Q45tech/Dennis, Texasoil/Keith and other notables,

A couple sets of good OEM brake pads,

A, close to new, set of OEM white floor mats.

Have you every had anyone say to you, “Hey, you have had that for 20 years and never used it. Why don’t you throw that out?”.

That’s why!

Bruce

You are absolutely correct!

However, at the time, I was not on this site. I had not had any Q cyber activitiy since 2001.

I did not become active, and look for this site, until about a month or so before my curent purchase.

Please forgive me

Unfortnately everything I had ended up in a California land fill.

I am truely sorry.

Bruce

the wife is ALWAYS on me about all my stuff that's around. Mostly she relaxes if i keep it all in the garage, but then she says the garage is filled with 'junk'. but then every so often i pull out something that i might have thrown away and save a few bux because i didn't....

it's a trade i guess. how many things in our garages are truly irreplaceble. not many.

I don't know either Wes. Just woke up at 3 AM thinking about what pm I was going to do on the Q today and began to think that I wish I had all those things I threw away.

Red,

At least someone is sensitive to my plight.

I especially appreciate the violin.

It must be playing "My Heart Bleeds for You".

Thanks,

Bruce
