soooo. i just replaced my power antenna and it got me thinking. as i stood their holding the power antenna system in my hand i realized that it was kind of heavy. so i wieghed it. came out 5 pounds. then i took out my spare tire and wieghed IT. it wieghed 35 pounds. and then i took off my hatch cover and weighed it. that was 15 pounds. so it's 55 pound wieght loss. that's pretty cool if you ask me. but i have to say, for some reason i kind of liked the hatch cover. so in the interest of 15 pound weight loss should i loose it. or should i keep it for aesthetic pleasure seing as my car is now laying around a cool 2600 lbs

I'm taking out my back seat next. I have yet to come accross someone who can fit back there without sitting sideways. Also taking out the rear seat you may be able to sit straight up without hitting your head in the back.

But if he loses 15 pounds and ditches the hatch cover he'll lose 30 pounds in the car. It's a win/win situation if you ask me.

Anyway, thanks for the wieght information. I was thinking about getting the privacy cover thingy but now I don't think I'll mess with it and my back seats can stay out as far as I'm concerned. They're, as someone on here put it, Nissan's patented padded rear shelf.

i think the seats are confortable, but its how everything around them makes it uncomfortable. liek the lack of head room and no leg room

im glad they didnt go into comfort for the rear passenger bc if they did the 240sx would look like a probe, and then i would probably be driving a celica right now because i would not want a 240sx looking like a probe with that extended roof and just ugly car.

My ex-girlfriends 2 and 4 year old were cramped in the back of my s14...

Made me to decide that I'll gut my backseats one day for sure.

How thick are the back seats? Maybe another solution is putting thinner seats in the back.

I've thought about using the back seat out of a mid 90's Toyota Camry Station wagon. The ones that face backwards. It would at least solve the leg room.

You have small friends than. I took out my back seat to make room for all the tall people I have to fit back there. And they only squish in...
