i own a 2006 g35 coupe. Stock is nice but im tired of seeing the same G35's around town knowing were all alike, so the time has come to MOD. what im wanting to do is cold air intake, mrev2, spacer, stillen exhaust, grounding kit, GTSpec 4 Point Mid Chassis Reinforcement Brace, GTSpec Front Lower Tie Brace, GTSpec Rear Lateral Arm Brace, GTSpec Rear Tie Brace, and a set of under drive pulleys. so what i guess im asking if for everyones opinions on which ones to buy, what sizes on spacer. and most inportant in what order would you do it i.e. its better to do the intake before the exhuast or do the mrev before any of it and so on. the reason im asking it this way is cause right now there is 2 of us living off my income we'll she's finishing grad school so before anyone says you have to do it all at one time, thats not going to happen unless some one wants to donate to the project fund. plus since the parents are harassing me for b-day present ideas, i figure nothing better than free car parts.

I did a lot at once.

1. JWT Pop Charger with Z-tube

2. Motordyne Mrevv2

3. 5/16" Spacer

4. Stillen TD Catback Exhaust.

5. Swithched to Mobil 1 Synthetic

So start with the JWT Pop Charger and Z-tube and see where it takes you. This should net you about $200--cheapest mod or bang for the buck.

As for breathing mods, I would suggest going intake, exhaust, and then spacer/MREV at the same time. If your G benefits from the MREV and you want the spacer, you should do those together. The best spacer size and also probably the most common is the 5/16". Oh and throw in the grounding kit in there as well, anywhere you want to really.

Great wishlist!!

If you have an auto and are on a budget... buy Sentientbydesigns Grounding Kit first.

If you have MT... save it for later as the gains will not be as noticeable.

Ok..this what I did in order

Intake - JWT Popcharger/Ztube

5/16 spacer and MREV2 (at the same time is MUCH EASIER) you can go with the Blox spacer over Motordyne to save some $$$ and so far people say it is just as good.

Then exhaust - I went with Stillen

Next I want Unorthodox Pulleys and SBD's wire kit.

I like power first, then handling. I'm no suspension expert, so wait for the calvary to arrive to give you their opinions..

I would do the Blox spacer and Mrev2 first (yes I'm advocating something other than my own product first).

The pop-charger/z-tube combo will help, but it's mostly sound. Between the two intake mods, you should get 15+ hp to the wheels.

Next I'd go with either my grounding kit or the chassis bracing. Depends on how happy you are with the handling of your car.

I think my slogan for the wires will be "Wanna make your car more fun to drive?". That's really what they do. Better throttle response, faster revving engine, and the audio sounds much better + other stuff. What does that sum up to? =More fun to drive!

I'd put exhaust on the end of the list for a couple of reasons. One of them only Joe and Sean know lol. The other is because it's a very large investment. I think you'll thank me if you put this at the end of your list.

All the advice given so far is solid. The only thing I would say to stay away from is the 5/8" spacer.

If you ever want to add a FSTB, the spacer could be a PITA. I'll let you know how it works, when my FSTB arrives, and if it will fit.

Let me know how much difference the FSTB makes. It was hard to tell on my I30.

There is no difference between single- and dual-walled tips. Well there is, its purely cosmetic, nothing performance wise. So its all personal preference. The Dual-walled tips will look more like the stock tips while the single-walled tips are thinner and don't have the rolled edge. If you go to Stillen's website, they show close ups of the tips.

Screw the underdrive pulleys. Only lightweight or none at all.

It doesn't matter which forum you post this in, suspension questions are very vague when you ask "Which one is the best?"

What do you want for your G? AutoX, Drifting, drag racing, just lowered for looks? Each one will have different suspension setups.

Do you care about your tires? That will require even more suspension tuning.

Adjustability? Budget? The last and final thing to consider is your wife. Will she stop sleeping with you if the ride gets too harsh?

If affordable, start with looking at replacing with a coilover set. You'll get coilovers for the front, and a spring/shock for the rear. I am all for buying a set, it keeps all parts uniform and the spring rates should be right to give a lowered stance and better handling.

Suspension...

I'd recommend the bracing as per your wish list, but I'd definitely recommend a set of sway bars to go along with them.

Also, I wouldn't spend the added cost for coilovers. My guess is that you aren't looking to race but you just want better performance. I'd get the Tokiko D-spec shocks (all 4) and the Eibach Pro kit springs.

You will want to get a rear camber/toe kit to keep your tires in spec so you don't wear through just half of your tires. A lot of people have gone with the Megan camber kit. There are a few others, and they are all pretty much the same. This is a part where I dont think its as important to spend the extra couple hundred dollars you could.

Some people also get front camber kits as well, but it shouldn't be too hard to keep in spec as long as you aren't dropping more than 1 - 1.5"
