16x7 +35 with 205/55-16 competition radialsor7f +35 with 205/55, 8r +35 with 225/50-16or7.5 or 8 +35 F/R with 225/50-16

use only competition radials for best performance, use smaller lighter wheels for better response, and hence, best performance edge.

Of course you do. Mine will grip better, respond to gas / brake pedal input faster = better, and will not rub ever. Replacement cost is lower, availability higher. But you please, BY ALL MEANS, keep the trend alive, so my stuff stays available and affordable.

My job..how I make my living... is to know these things, and educate customers. If you want bigger wheels then, plain and simple, you're more interested in looks, than performance. There's no better tire in 17" than there is in 16" Competition radials are available in both, but cost less in the smaller size. Yet you still want the big wheel/tire?

I agree with Smith, 16's are the shizzy. Me, i like the 225/50/16 rear, 215/50/16 front, but the only bad thing about 16's is they're a PITA to find with offsets that are agreeable to the s13 and that will clear my z brakes too. A huge pain. I haven't found any yet (that aren't from japan) except for Team Dynamics' Pro Race 2 has a 16" lightweight wheel that comes in offsets as low as +15. They're kind of ugly though. *sigh* At least the 5zigen fno1r-c's are a good choice if you go 17"

I wish Tirerack still had 16" Kosei K1's for 4 lug applications. I really liked those wheels.

I'd rather have 16"s over 17", but since I can't find any 16" wheels I really like I'll probably go with the good old FNO1R-C.

I'll take that up against any 200+ treadwear tire combo you can build using your sizing Smith.

Hhaha... drag racing... if I was drag racing I'd have a 26x10.50x17 on the back and a 185 in the front or something.

Don't be sad cause your car handles like a 42' Ford ****box with your ill-loaded Tijuana special stretch job on "summer" tread compounds.
