while i am a fan of the beloved search button, this is quite a bit to search for. so, if anyone feels my question(s) can be better answered through other threads, please link them. all i'm asking for is information. now on to my question

i'm getting an s13 sr black top for my lovely s13 (this one:zerothread?id=212976). if anyone around the tennessee area knows forrest from memphis, he's the one doing my swap. he's been working with sr's for 4+ years now and i've seen his work in person and respect it.

by my request, he's adding aftermarket parts to the swap for me. what i'm asking for is information on parts. he gave me a list of common things that people get and, personally not being a fan of some brands, would like others to check out.

so, any information on good, quality sr parts would be greatly appreciated.

here's the list:

exedy stage 2 clutchFAL electric fansgreddy fmic kit (already requested a blitz instead)enjuku racing hotpipe (getting my motor from them, so i don't see why this wouldn't be bad to get)greddy bov (already requested hks ssq)megan 3" stainless downpipe (------heard------- they weren't that great)megan 3" stainless test pipe (see above)gauges, boost/temps/etc (does brand really matter for this as long as it isn't some cheap no-name crap?)walbro fuel pump (never heard anything bad about them, keeping that)

also, under recommended parts there are:megan stainless turbo mani (see above)megan 3" stainless turbo outlet (see above)mr. gasket copper exhaust mani gasketkoyo radiator (definitely getting)greddy profec type-s boost controllerstainless oil/water lines

that's about it. if anybody has information they're willing to share on what's good/better/best, please share or tell me where i can look.

I'll comment on the parts I'm familiar with:

megan 3" stainless downpipe (------heard------- they weren't that great)megan 3" stainless test pipe (see above)gauges, boost/temps/etc (does brand really matter for this as long as it isn't some cheap no-name crap?)

I have Megan 3" SR DP on my KA-T, and it's actually NICER than 90% of the ones on the market. My company builds exhausts, and I guarantee the steel, the flanges, and the flexpipe would cost me more than what they charge for this piece. Get it. It's that good.

Test pipe - Same deal. Hard to screw that up. Get it.

I have Megan gauges - They're fine, I like mine pretty well, and I could have had my choice (within reason). Spending $200 on a single gauge is, IMO, silly.

lesson learnd... dont buy the megan 3" downpipe. go with circuit sports

i'll take your word on it considering that i use your exhaust on my s14. i'm not sure which gauges he's offering, but i'm sure there's a selection to choose from. i also didn't plan on spending a ton for the gauges. as long as they do their job and do it well, that's what i'm after.

thanks for the input and keep it coming

btw, dont forget a z32 fuel filter. if you upgrade your pump, a bigger filter is needed. also, about the down pipe... i recommend the circuit sports one. its an oval shaped downpipe with the turbo elbow in one. its kinda pricey, but when you think about it, a downpipe + turbo elbow's gonna cost you about the same... plus the circuit sports has the best ground clearance (believe me, you'll want that clearance if its a daily driver).

yeah i'm having all the pumps/filters/belts replaced, and some z32 stuff will be used.

it will be a daily driver for the most part. i'll switch off between my s13 and s14 to keep them both up and running. i'll look into the circuit sports, as well.

exedy stage 2 is fine.FAL although slim, won't beat altima fans. get those.greddy fmic, you can probably get a better one fabbed up for about the same price. get the pipes from projectnissan and get a spearco core with some garrett end tanks and off to a welder for a better fmic imo. enjuku hot pipe ftw. remember it's slightly larger than the greddy one, 2.25" iirc so you may need reducers if you're hooking it up to a t25.Megan dp, eh...I think you can get one with better fitment.Megan test pipe, you can price shop this one for whatever fits although in my neck of the woods I'd recommend not getting a test pipe as the police will have a field day with that one...gauges, well if you get an ebc it should tell you your boost pressure, if you get electric fans and get a fan controller like the hks it'll tell you your water temp from the more accurate ecu one rather than the one your pos instrument cluster one reads, oil temp and pressure would be recommended though.

Mr. Gasket exhaust mani gasket, meh get an oem metal one.

haha that gif is quality.

i'm guessing i can still hook the altima fans up to the switch, right? if so i may look into them.

i'm sure my pal can fab up some fmic stuff but i'd rather just go with the pre-made route and get the blitz (i won't be paying full price since he's getting the stuff so yay)

there's no emissions in my county so i can run a test pipe all day long
