I work at a shop that has an odd specialization in older volvo repairs, including their turbo motors. I had a thought while looking at one the other day, that almost all of the turbo related equipment minus the manifolds would fit onto a sohc ka easily. The volvo turbo engine is 2.3 litres (i correct my earlier statement in another post in which i said 2.5) and seems to boost around 5-8 psi. I can't tell for certain because volvo boost guages have no numbers, just a colored line. The turbo looks like a t28 or so and is internally regulated, and the cars come with fmic's. The injectors are top feed but i don't know with rate they are, but they look like they would fit on a ka. The maf i think i can adapt for 240 use (i have wiring schematics for both cars). The only hard part would be getting manifolds to fit, or at least i think. I'm not for sure going to try it, but it wouldn't be hard at all for me to get all these parts for a try at it. I just want to see if anyone else has played with this option for a low boost setup, or am i one of very few that has thought this up. Also please fill in any info i might have forgotten. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long wind.

this is commonly know as a junkyard setup, only yours would not be from a junkyard. i beleive volvos use small t3's. sohc manifolds arent to hard to find. it can be a very cheap setup able to make decent power. one guy AIMed me today saying he made 222rwhp with a small t3, i guess similar to a volvo turbo, at 10psi
