I think I have decided but I am not sure of the improvements people make to the vert.I have a '90 300zx N/A auto that fried the main harness. I think I will strip and part out, due to abuse it lived through, I don't think it will ever be anything other than 3-5k car, without MAJOR injection of cash.I was planning on taking full brake system, suspension, and front seats for the vert. Is there other things I should be looking at?I will probably take the Cruise and put it on my '89 pulsar nx.Vert is getting CA18DET and silvia front, with digital climate(already purchased).

Any suggestions?I feel bad taking apart the Z, but it really isn't dying, I am going to see if any brothers on the Z forum need parts and hopefully I don't have to crush the rust free shell.

Seems like you could replace the harness and make more money by selling it as a whole and running.

The seats will be a little of a pain to get in the Vert. Not too much suspension that can be used, could use the rear 5-lug hubs to go along with full brake system (just need front 5-lug hubs).

Problem is that with the main harness taken out, it's about $1500 for harness at least and then not sure what else is wrong/fried until I do it all, so maybe even more money into it.

I thought I could use the rear suspension, am I wrong?

Yeah, forgot about all the rear stuff.

But I'm use to the 240s where the harness is like $100 or less.

If you take the brakes, just unbolt the Z rear upright and swap it on to the 240, remembering to grab the e brake lines as well. You'll need to use the Z shocks as well. The damping on the Z strut will be tougher than the 240s, but we need stiffer damping for the verts anyways.

For the fronts, you'll need either a set of conversion hubs or a set of S14 spindles/hubs. The front Z suspension is incompatable with the S-chassis suspension, so you'll be SOL on swapping that in.

Don't forget to swap the brake MC on, The Z brakes are way too touchy with the 240 MC.

Seats will definitely require a little custom work to get in 100% percent, I'm just uncertain as to what needs to be done.

If you do end up parting out the Z, what would you want to part ways with the airflow meter? I'll be in the market for one here in the near future.

IIRC, you will need sleeves for the bolts cuz hole on the spindle is slightly bigger on s14's.

Not if you use S14 spindle bolts and enlarge the hole on the strut to match

If I part it out I will post in our forum, but first I will ask if anyone in the Z forum wants the entire thing. If that doesn't work I will post in both forums.I knew about the front suspension, I have the entire Coleman write up, but I may do the hubs for S13 instead, as it will definately be less hassle. Thanks guys, my ideas for this is right now to stay low key with stock CA18DET that I got from dee. I got a good camera for Christmas, so pics will start to be posted.

Should be able to.

And for the Ebrake cable, you'll probably need a Z32 2+2 cable, the regular Z32 is a bit too short.

Sorry this is a 2+2. Guess that nails it, I'll strip her.
