No experience on the Yokohama's, but if it snow's a lot in your area, wouldn't good snow tires be a good choice for your car, if not another car to drive during winter so your beautiful car will not suffer salt damage : P
RE950's rule. I've driven them first hand in the snow, they're really only good for up to 3' really. Another thing you'd like to compare between the two: treadwear, the re950's are a healthy 400. I don't know about the Yoko's though. I'd seriously consider getting steelies and throwing some blizzak tires on them for this winter.
