I can get one for around 700.00. I was thinking about the .48ar and well... Im pretty sure it will spool very quick and then in turn throw some major air down my sr's throat with the bigger intake side. (just an idea)what do ya'll think?

I already got one of those but this turbo is rated for more power than the 2871r. Also I was thinking with the smaller AR it will spool alot quicker, gaining my low end back. The specs are as followed...-compressor.61lbs/min.70AR housing60-1 trim wheel

-turbine specs.48Ar housingHigh flow 76 trim stg 3 wheeloil lubed center section360 degree thrust bearingsupports 525whp!!!!

what other supporting mods do you have? i am guessing not much if your trying to get your low end back.

i have a gt2871r .86 with greedy intake plenum, helix exhaust manifold, greddy intercooler pipes, bar and plate FMIC, z32 maf, 740cc injectors, 3" turbo back with no cat, and a 1.5mm head gasket.

I have no problems with my low end. It pulls quick. I hit 17.5psi by 4000RPM. I suspect it will get faster once i setup my boost controller up, as that 17.5 is what my wastegate is set at.

also that turbo that your looking at is not BB so it will probably spool about the same or worse i would think. (hopefully someone else will chime in on that, because I am not sure)

I have basicly the same mods besides the hg. Do you like that 1.5?Oh and I have a tuned ECU and 550s. The thing is, when I talk about getting my low end back I mean I want to try and hit 20lbs at about 3500 or 3800rpm. Right now I hit 15lbs at 3400rpm. Im just trying to get an idea on what to do. I know my numbers are a little far fetched but Im allways trying to get more out of it (faster). What would the spool difference be between the bb,or non bb?

yeah i guess. it makes me feel better about running high boost.

think of it like this, how much time do you really spend below 4000RPM? once i get my boost controller set up properly i expect to hit 20psi by 4000. if you already have the gt2871r then i think you should keep it. your goals do not sound that much over what that turbo is capable of.

I also forgot to mention on my mod list that i have HKS step 1 cams, 256in and 264 out.
