Welcome!!!!

12 Grand seems a little steep for 140K...IMHO.

But I'm sure others will chime in and give you some better pointers.

Oh and post up some pics of the J30!!

ehh...why not, post some of the G20 while your at it!!!

'04s were good cars. Steering vibration is one of the more common issues. It has proven unresolvable for some.Other common items were strut issues, various stupid electrical issues, and general "dumb" things.Generally these cars are pretty mechanically solid unless you get a "bad seed."

For what it's worth, my dad has a very early '04 that has had almost no issues. We had the steering vibration problem but were able to solve it.It seems at least partially related to tires--the car is very picky about what tires it'll wear, something I've never experienced in any other car. Of course, that might also be due to the very limited choices in 245-45-18 inch all-seasons back in '04. The OEM Goodyear Eagle RS-As were absolutely abysmal tires. Luckily with 140k miles, you won't have to put up with them. The only other problem I can recall with the car was a broken center console storage compartment door.

140k is a lot of miles for a 3 year old car, though. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, make sure it's not a sign that the car has been put through the wringer.

you may want to ask if most of the mileage was highway or biway miles...b/c highway miles are better to have b/c its not stop-n-go wear and tear on the engine.
