Actually re-reading how tinting is measured, mine are probably 35% based on what I had asked when it was applied prior to delivery.
In Washington State the maximum is 35% with nothing on the windshield except the top 6 inches. It appears that in California it is 70% on the drivers window (not sure on the rest). In New Mexico it appears that you can have 20%. My Jeep came with a very heavy tint in the cargo area and a much lighter tint in the passenger area. This is a little confusing since this was a factory job and from what I read locally the back can be heavily tinted if a 'heavy' SUV (which is defined as being on a truck chassis) versus a 'light' SUV which follows the rules for cars.
