Tear drop as opposed to what?7 Spoke?Steel?

Seems they are equal as far as 4lug is concerned.

i like them better than seven spokes, as long as you leave the center cap out haha

THey're fine if it's what you got but I prefer the seven spoke wheel.

I like the spokes.

More 'open' the rim, the faster your brakes cool off Both will do the job though.

While they do do the job, they are ugly as sin imo. and I'm rocking them until I assemble my 5 lug parts

I dont speak 4 lug too well, as my S13 back in the states has had 5 lug since the day it started running (did lug swap in the same period that the motor swap was taken care of), but here in Germany we have some nice looking 5 spoke wheels (not sure if those come stock on cars in the states). MUCH better looking than the teardrops, as I only use those for my winter tires.

(A look at them in black and silver)

... i was never a fan of the rounded 5 spoke design.... if i was going to have stock rims id go with s14 alloys or z32 alloys, but then again the 5 lug swap was the first thing i did on my base model s14

As few others have said, the teardrops look decent with the cap off. They also look decent when they're gunmetal. But, 7 Spoke SE's look much better in my opinion.

*EDIT*

Damn typos.

piecing this thread together the general concensus (with a few exceptions of course) is 7 spokes are prime. i have 6 wheels of the 7 spoke kind and i'm going to go with 7 spokes also. and don't heed what those nay sayers of the 5 lug say. 4 is fine to start with, don't bother with the 5 lug until later.

they served me just great untill i got larger brakes and had to get new racing wheels.

better one of the teardrops in actionthe 205 bridgstones took me a couple STD victories, and then boost came along and ruined my traction hopes.
