Alright, I have two choices.1. Order a Permacool 14 inch fan from HT rated at 2750 cfm and wait a few days or 2. Go to a performance shop here and buy a 14 fan rated at the same cfm today for cheaper but not a permacool. This other shop is a pretty reputable shop( http://www.alamoperformance.com ) bunch of old school guys.Do you guys think that it matters?

I didnt like my permacool. I love my FAL. Then again people on this board will say the exact opposite..

to your question; How soon do you need your car running? HT is a nico sponsor. They are reputable. They are pricey. Does brand name matter to you? Would you rather deal with someone local?

Its really up to you but I think i'd trust a brand name fans cfm rating over an autozone fan.

i have a permacool from heavy throttle, and in stop and go dirving if my fan's not on the car will start to overheat.. and when it is on i NEVER see it move past the second dash mark, it stays under the 1/4 mark ALL day long. So take that as you will, but i say my permacool is doin its job

I'm looking to replace my stock clutch fan on my SR.

You guys recommend a 14" FAL or Permacool for this situation?

And, can I remove the shroud if I go electric? With it out it frees up sooo much space.

Actually I decided to go with a real nice fan with a built in shroud. It has a 2850 cfm rating and it looks to be a real nice fan.The guy there says he has the exact same one on his car that has 700hp so ill check his out then decide.
