Hi everyone,

It's my first time posting. I'm looking to buy some rims for my black altima coupe and am pretty much on the fence on whether to get 18s or 19s. The tire rack has these carbon fiber rims that look real sweet.

Off topic: Black & White, you seem to live in my central L.A. area. What bodyshop do you use? I am looking to put on a stillen rear spoiler that's already been painted. I tried placeing it myself but wasn't happy with the result and need to have it placed more securely/professionally.

in my opinion 18s are too small to have a polished or machined, or chrome lip on. you need at least 19s or 20s, like LBC has. The lip just makes the rim look small on anything less than 19s

i agree with toxik. if you get the lip it has to be bigger than 18's on our car. those rims do look pretty sick though. if you can find something similar but bigger id go with that. oh yeah. welcome to nico!

Thanks for weighing in on this. I see your point about 18s looking too small. I do think 20s look the best IMO. I'm just concerened that driving will become a chore of looking out for pot-holes. I've heard that 20s are easy to dent and not very comfortable of a ride. Wish those carbonfiber rims came in 19...doh!

19s look better than 18s. And those have got to be the heaviest "CF" rims on the planet!

I made the mistake of getting 16's (see pic below)... I sold those and ordered TSW Thruxtons. I agree with everyone else. 18's are a but too small. I mean they're nice and people pull them off pretty well. Most look nice if you get a fitting tire size that doesn't have a very low or very high profile and the car is lowered.

I think 19/20" rims are the way to go. I'd say no to the CF rims. They won't stand out on Black. I was contemplating getting a CF hood/fenders, etc... but you can barely tell the difference standing a few feet away.

Carbon Fiber would look fine on a white car or anything that really contrasts it.

So all in all, go 19"+ with a polished lip, deep dish, do it. Now. K thx. *gives you a stripper if you do*

Dont pay a body shop to stick on a rear spoiler that only needs double sided tape to stick on. Where in L.A. are you?

First of all: 18x7.5 CF @ 21.6 lbs = not so lightSecond of all: "Made in China."The design I'm okay with.
